  2. At the dulwich Community council meeting tonight someone asked if Foxtons have applied for planning permsiion for the frontage.I remember it was brick previously.Do they need planning permission for that type of frontage?
  3. I was at the Dulwich community council tonight on behalf of East Dulwich snub, and it has been confirmed that a tree will be on the goose green

  6. hy all following the thread about posting from abroad,i thought i would start my own thread from mexico, its 11.43 am and blooming hot, drinking margharitas and having a great time.So where in the world are you..
  7. pop into Healthmatters,ed there are free bookmarks with the greenmetropolis website details, who will take your books, restore them and sell them on.They donate to the woodland trust
  8. They were very obliging, they made me a lovely sandwich, even though they had not prepared the sandwich menu, plus i got a free pastry.Jasmine tea was lovely, highly recommnded for a nightcap,or if you are a insomniac,do not have it before 5pm.Could not stay awake>:D
  9. Sean i will make you right on that,we need medicine, nobody has disputed that, and the irresponsible doctor will hopefully be struck off, people like her give complementary/alternative medicine a bad name. As a therapist we do not have the right to tell people to stop taking medication,It is wrong and irresponsible.I like to call myself complementary, because we can complement the medical treatment with massage,Reflexology and Nutrition. Some therapists would call themselves alternative,by which instead of taking painkillers for a bad back, you can seek a osteopath, chiropracter or Acupuncture, who will help the healing process of a bad back get back to normal
  10. Sean i will make you right on that,we need medicine, nobody has disputed that, and the irresponsible doctor will hopefully be struck off, people like her give complementary/alternative medicine a bad name.
  11. mmm Certain people have way too much time on their hands.Mockney my dear,we were never pals and i doubt we will cross each others paths,so no love lost.>:D
  12. Watch Ed space nero, there will be more info on battery recycling coming soon.East Dulwich SNUB are looking into recycling batteries.
  13. Asset in all honesty any kind of negative response to homeopathy, herbs reiki and other therapies are just over my head. This thread is full of old school mentality, and good luck to old school, because at the end of the day, people have opinions and we will get all sorts on here, whether we are criticised for what we believe in to grief over our fave/music,footie/shops. What i cannot tolerate are individuals who pretend they know what they are chatting about but reading their thread, they come across as ignorant and above all stupid in their divvy assumptions of what homeopathy is. I had a lot of respect for 1 guy on here until his rants on homeopathy, and as i said we all have grief 1 way or another, however this guy has come across, ignorant and nasty, which really makes me sad for him.
  14. Chamomile is herbal never has been pharmaceutical.I love the retaliation on this thread. The higher the ignorance the nastier the comments.Leave therapies alone,oh ignorant ones,do no make comments on something you clearly have no knowledge of.
  15. Bald marauder Thanks for the reply.I feel that every little helps and reducing plastic bags are just a drop in the ocean. But my attitude is that every one who does their little bit from recyling to not using plastic bags will in the long run have a positive effect on the enviroment.Im a toddler of the 70s and i remember we had no plastic bags and my mum use to go shopping with her long string bag.Because we have become a culture of convenience, the plastic bag has become a common item in the supermarkets and shops,we have seen the devastation bags have caused and i do retaliate when i read throw away remarks, thanks again for your reply
  16. I am very surprised at many comments on here from certain people,as a retailer in the health food industry and a Reflexologist,/Degree In Nutritional Medicine i come across cynics all the time, especially on days when the chemist is closed and we are not.A mother whos child has a fever cant get hold of the calpol so she has no choice but to try chamomile until the chemist opens, and what happens, the next day mother comes in and thanks us,why?Did the whacky remedy chamomile help the real life fever yes,it did.We need pharmaceuticals in cases of severe illness but most of the time,we need to look after ourselves.do you think an asprin or neurofen will help deal with the cause of the headache you have because your life is stressed,no it wont.Self and looking after self will.Reiki works for me and many others, obviously ignorance works for most

Bald Maurader We all have a right to our opinion, but as i am someone who is trying to campaign on reducing plastic bags,i totally disagree about what you said on the media have us believe.I suggest you have a chat to the marine steward council about how many of their volunteers go out on to the coast and collect plastic bags, wrappings, containers and toxic waste that has been killing our marine life for years.I find myself utterly astonished that someone who comes across intelligent can make such a throw away remark.
  18. I know its only August and someone is already talking about Christmas, but i do have a good reason for it i promise. In December The S.N.U.B team have organised the wintergreen fair, and one of the workshops is making a christmas wish tree from recycled stuff. So tins, cans, paper tubes, anything you normally recycle, that you feel may contribute to the christmas wish tree, please put aside in a paper bag or recycled plastic bag.In september we will start asking locals to bring their saved recycled stuff to a location in Lordship lane. I will let you know the location in September, thanks

Lovely freshly squeezed Oragne Juice at mon petit chou, plus they are introducing crepes and breakfasts there.Chandelier, tea rooms which are opening on the 15th of this month will also have juices, and i hear somewhere on northcross road have already started selling juices. Icelands are good, they sell foods that come in handy if you are looking for something on the go,or if you go in not knowing what you want icelands do have the answer, very impressed with them.
  25. I actually had a charge of criminal intent brought against a traffic wardens years ago. When i had a business in peckham, one day a traffic warden came in for lunch sat down, ordered his food, then a another customer pulled up outside came in and ordered a take away,in the meantime the warden went out and issued a ticket whilst his food was getting cold,i told the customer who then quickly went off with no ticket on his windscreen(another debate)circled round and picked his food up from my waiting hands out by the road. The tarffic warden took his lunch and threw it at me,told me that the ticket had gone through, regardless of it being on the windscreen.I looked at the lunch on the floor and called the police. He was arrested, charged and suspended from his job,all for ?40.00 and no he did not even pay for the food...
