  5. Green and blue bar side use to be a sandwich bar called regewells then it was a poor imitation of an italian resturant, whe the building went on the market we, my business partner and i had a look at the building with our builder and after we looked he gave us the post mortom and we ran fast, simply because it needed so much structural work and a lot of money behind it.
  6. English please i did not get that last post
  7. Hy All Happy new year, just back from Belfast and thought i would have a look at EDF and lo and behold the wine shop has its own thread. Looking at both sides of the story about this store i think its a good thing someone has opened a store that been empty for a long time and was an obvious target for thieves and vandals because of its very obvious emptiness. The fact that they have not spent thousands of pounds on the refurbishment and have cleaned up and used the existing shelving unit shows practicality and saving money. They are not selling wines at expensive prices and of course the pricing structure goes in line with the enviroment the wines are sold in. I am sure in time they will get to know the products they sell and East Dulwichites will benefit from their prices as well as their quirky image. I hope they do well, they provide cheap booze for dulwich who do not live in a high income bracket, thats why icelands works so well, cheap an cheerful so good luck to the boys at the booze shop:)-D
  8. So what is the going rate for tipping the binmen,we have received our christmas card and as usual im disagreeing with my hubby on how much do you tip.Is ?5.00 to mean? I know it would not buy a round but any suggestions forumites???
  9. Dulwichmum some of the stock of that shop would be found elsewhere in Dulwich. Ren was originally in Dulwich Village,in i think its called Jill Holland, they were building therapy rooms for the ren treatments but someone decided to copy them. Dr Hauschka originally brought to East Dulwich By Healthmatters. I cannot comment on the rest of the products because i do not know what else they stock,i have heard the staff are nice and polite.

  24. Snorky just to correct you nobody made money from this ok. I suggest you do a little research before you make the wrong assumptions.Again James google SNUB and see what you come up with. Its been adopted by the WRAP organisation and most towns who are trying to become greener have adopted SNUB. that is why we also used it to make what we are trying to achieve more uniform. Michael i see your point but i think what we are trying to get across is the fact we had to make a decision take a risk and get wet,or err on the side of caution and have narrower aisles. We are not p......ing on anyone, this was a community event and by the sounds of the minority on here you are not going to let it go,so please for the sake of my sanity and the organisers sanity let it rest.
  25. i kind of chatted up an irish actor who has done some mainstream stuff on the bbc recently. He was in the drama with paul magann who also frequents East Dulwich. The irish fellow was really sweet wish i could remember his name but i was kind of tipsy at the time.
