  1. Yeah I always thought Frazier was due an acknowledgement from Ali that he'd gone too far and certain accusations / statements should be retracted. Now it's part of Ali's legacy.
  2. Do you think this will be sorted next week now that half-term is over ? Or is this a new 'feature' of the train service to LB that coincidentally started during half-term week ?
  3. Sounds good Otta.
  4. Sue, there's warm Guinness available off the top of your head ? That's WELL cool !
  5. I was talking to Nyge n Sue about this at the weekend, can't go this eve but am going next month. Otta pls share what's the crack when you've been.
  6. So basically a belt in every weight from Bantam upwards, except Light-Heavyweight. That's darned good ! The Bellew fight is on YouTube, he looked pretty good actually. But he needs to up the CW opposition now and get used to the weight, rather than flapping his gums about being the best CW already and prematurely calling-out Lebedev (who stops him in 7 IMO).
  7. Almost complete. What about the champ who Barry McGuigan trains. (cannae remember his name, is Bantamweight)
  8. Tony Bellew (CW) and Ricky Burns (LW) both picked-up world straps this weekend. I think that's 15 straps in the British Isles now.
  9. Yeah I wondered why I'd not seen you sailing past in it before.
  10. Probably had a useful back seat Jah - huh ?
  11. First car - a Type II VW
  12. A swift kick in the exhibits should do the trick.
  13. It's obviously possible, if there's a fault with the cooker (or the cabling specific to the cooker). You don't need a sparky to establish that.
  14. Allegedly Andre Ward and Sergey Kovalev have signed contracts for a fight - date/venue TBC but possibly November. This is a decent top tier contest, at last. Both proper LHWs. Both proven.
  15. Ta will give it a gander
  16. Yeah M&H did the damage. Night vision goggles (military grade) next time tho. Cheers.

    Moth trouble

stuff the parrot, kill the moths. At ANY cost !
  18. Where is the list of who's open this weekend ? I missed last weekend and realise not all artists do both weekends. Loved it last year.
  19. Aaah M&H booked (a table) for pre-dinner. Thanks all. (though will try other suggies this summer)
  20. Cheers for tips. Have called M&H - nobody answering yet, but will persist. I'd forgtooen about the Langham, not been there in a while. Will chck out other suggies too - many thanks.
  21. I'm after a place where they know how to mix drinks and that's it, nowt flashy and glitzy, just an assured decent cocktail. I would head over to fave cocktail venues such as Claridges / Mayfair Bar, but it's wrong side of where I'm going next (restaurant in North Soho). Any tips / experience will be useful. Ta.
  22. I read about Atlas's comments on a boxing website last night, you're right he does seem genuinely troubled by the scoring (and, as he says, the wider issue on so many fights we never get to see where boxers' careers get screwed). It's so bent out of shape, surely under investigation it would be deemed illegal. Scoring a round is effectively a comparative quality assessment and therefore there are basic precepts which are applied. For the fight on Saturday an entire new (or reverse) set of precepts would have had to be followed, to get that scoring. If this quality assessment of tradeable physical commodities the crime would be fraud. I'd really like to see some regulation in boxing and accountability mechanisms which included promoter's being at least partly responsible for dodgy scoring by judges. It's all bent out of shape and needs addressing.
  23. Canelo still has a rematch clause to honour with Cotto, I believe. Khan's chin is fine, the KOs he's had would drop most guys at his weight, but he's open to some huge shots it's so careless and he throws away all the good work from earlier rounds (just like with Garcia). I am reading that Khan gassed a bit, I haven't seen the contest so can't comment (yet). But keeping your arms up in Rd6 is not a tall order, even for amateurs - let alone Olympians and top-tier fighters.
  24. I think the result was all but certain, Khan's had the big fight he wanted and will never need to work again - pretty good for a man his age. He seems to switch-off and at this level there's a price to pay. I hope the KO doesn't damage Khan too much. I think he should fight Brook in UK then retire, win or lose. He's a young man with a young family and could train his own stable, commentate, the list is endless. So Canelo beat a guy that came-up two weight divisions to face him (which is an enormous physical effort to do) and was still 15-20lbs lighter than him on fight night. He was outboxed for 4 rounds by a guy so much lighter than him. I'm losing respect for the Mexican fast (but I accept he may not be overly stressed about that!), he needs to stop using his amazing ability to boil-down just so he can get advantage over other fighters. It's totally taking the mick out of the weight divisions and belts and is somehow allowed due to powers that be in boxing politics. If Khan had faced any other (on the night) fighter 15-20lbs heavier than him (and USED to fighting at that weight) it would have been called a mismatch, ie. George Groves. But JUST because Groves, and other fighters cannot boil-down, but Canelo can, he's allowed to fight smaller guys. It's perverse, dangerous and unfair.

    Moth trouble

No-one was being rude not meant to come across that way. I probably felt the winter more because I only put the heating on for 3 days over entire winter.
