  3. Though he's not actually a forumite it's Ian Hunter's birthday today. 70 he is. I'll be waggling a glass in the general direction of Conneticet this evening.

Some bits I can take or leave, such > as the farming programme (though I do listen to > that on occasion), You're missing out there Louisiana, the ongoing story of the BBC beehives has me enthralled, it's what I set my alarm early for. That and the shipping forecast, which I find sets me up good and proper for the day ahead. Once I was going to find out what it all actually meant, but decided not to as I thought it would lose its magic then.

I think partials are OK if they are the main root of the word so Fool On The Hill could follow These Foolish Things, but La Isla Bonita following Lola? That sh!t is unacceptable

I was taking the p1ss. And actually it's not my game it belonngs to the world, and was actually started by LizzyGotDizzy. So, move that La Isla Bonita be stricken from the records, and I get told to 'watch it'.

"Yeah but no but.." It's just that sort of thing that caused it to all go wrong for Blazin' Squad, you know. It's why Kenzie chucked it in.
  10. Thank you for the large helping of perspectine Spark67, wishing you continuing good health and a full recovery. And a tip of the hat to the good people at King's.

  12. I think Marshall was vexed that someone had planted an arse so near his face and everyone thought, 'That's what it's been reminding of me of all these years'

It wouldn't do for priest's socks.
  15. Jesus Christ, I look into a thread named 'your worst job' and I find a lot of talk about honey, mushrooms, smoked bastard salmon, sock and shoe moving and fast food. You massive bunch of sissy Marys. You enormous shower of Josephines. I worked for a SW11 based building firm. One job involved a cellar with a back up rising from the sewer. It was about, it seemed 12-14 inches deep. Anyway I was equipped with wellies and given the task of opening the far door which was fairly well sealed in order to let the effluent run away to the outside drains. Wade through I did and get the door open I also did. What I also did was get a two bootful of sewage as it flowed filthily passed me. Walking round with a pint and a half of other people's discharge in each boot? Now that's a bad job. Now come on you enormous fairies.
  16. La Isla Bonita - Madonna

It came from them changing over the '0' and the '8'. It's called something. Juxtaposition? No it's not that, but a bit like it and the word doesn't have an 'x' in it. For some reason transvetite is giggling around my mind. Did Eddie Izzard ever play a skit around mayonnaise? ?2.08 you say? For Hellmans? Not bad.
  18. I once went on a CND march. Got back and there was still a proliferation of nuclear arms. Talk about a waste of my time. Placed my copy of John Lennon's 'Imagine' in the corner and kicked it. Went across the road and joined the British Legion.
  19. Sun Arise - Rolf Harris

You've been warned. At last reason has returned to her throne and we can get back to the core purpose of the thread. Unless you are/think you are all in love with me and that, then kindly confine your attentions to other threads or indeed activities. South London Press, eh? Thanks for getting this lot to straighten up and fly right, Giggi. HUGS
  21. What are you on abaat MM? Cars don't 'ave horns. Cars 'ave udders. Buuws have horns.
  22. "...and I ain't got nobody...how I wish I had someone to talk to, I'm in an awful way". Whether it's Sam Cooke or Cat Stevens you still end up with a woman who resembles a 'cat name of Frankenstein'* And the common ground is, get shot in a motel or embrace Islam, both can produce genius versions of the same song. Though of course only one can perform it live these days. *Correctly pronounced Fronk-un-schteen of course, but for the purposes of 'Another Saturcay Night' we'll go with Frank-un-stine.
