  1. Why so rude Wordsworth? Gromit asked a simple question - no need to jump on it
  2. You've probably done this, but when the sae thing happened to me, the tried and trusted turning the pc off and then on again, worked. Good luck
  3. I find the most upsetting thing is the amount of surgical gloves left on pavements and now I am starting seeing surgical masks. It means that people care enough about their health to wear these things, but couldn't care less about other peoples health. I think it is disgraceful and if anyone were to be seen doing it they should be fined/arrested whatever.
  4. Dulwich Fox "It's Khan's Only objective on Everything he supports. Congestion Charge -- It's OK to Congest as long as you PAY ULEZ -- It's OK to pollute as long as you PAY." What a ridiculous statemement. The congestion charge lowered the amount of cars going into London, ULEZ has brought pollution down by 35%. They both make it clear that it is NOT ok to carry on as we are doing, as London is still an immensely congested city Maybe you could make a positive contribution to give your ideas of how we could go about bringing pollution down?
  5. Sue I have to disagree. What you can do and why has been repeated ad infinitum on all telecommunications channels. But some people just don't think it applies to them.
  6. Uncleglen What Blah blah said
  7. Still haven't got mine. Hope there was nothing urgent in it
  8. Uncleglen-I hope very much that Boris gets well. But I hate everything he stands for, certainly do not love him, and am amazed you can blithely say "the majority of us love you." Any evidence?
  9. I never got my letter from Boris. Did anyone?
  10. Jones of Brockley on Grove Vale is 1 person at a time. It is expensive
  11. Hi I live on the ground floor of a converted victorian house. Why do you think soundproofing can only be done from the flat above? I sucessfully had my ceiling soundproofed and it made an enormous difference. It is not cheap so I would definitely talk to a lawyer who specialises in housing law to see that, if the landlord is not keeping to the lease, they can be made to pay for it?
  12. NO.. NOT A&E. I don't often shout but that is the most ridiculous suggestion.
  13. Hi I'm on Sky and my broadband was down. An engineer came out and spent a day here doing work in various places including eplacing a cable in the box on the corner of Everthorpe road. Hopefully this should/may improve things
  14. I really do not understand the bash the council brigade. I?m not talking about the rights or wrongs of implementing the CPZ, I?m talking about comments like the council is greedy and can?t help themselves. Where do you think the money is going ? It doesn?t go into councillors pockets but into public services which Southwark provides better than many.
  15. I can't really see the difference between going into your garden and going into the street. Just make sure there is no one around
  16. Absolutely the right decision. Could you have a word with Boris Johnson to nudge him into action as well
  17. M and S will be keepig their first hour of opening on Mondays and Thursday for older and vulnerable people
  18. What a great offer edavenger

  20. yes in the same position and have 2 blue bins. Very easy to get another one via website
  21. A right wing coup in Westminster? Was that the general election?
  22. Limited resources may be better targetted on harm to people rather than objects
  23. Mayo...Denmark Hill to Canada Water, every 30 minutes this Saturday
  24. Hi Jessica J. I am sorry for all the problems you have had with this, especially as I have always found the recycling service prompt and efficient. Your last line is that the council "just want the extra revenue". The cost for garden waste recycling in Southwark is much less than in many other boroughs. Also the extra revenue of course, is used for council services from which we all benefit.
