  1. We say residential areas - but the bottom of Rye Lane is now higher density residential than many "residential" areas - however we all acknowledge the pubs/clubs were there first - so noise is tolerated - but more residential incomers every year. But has anybody actually done any noise planning when 7 story buildings are being built next to pubs that have been noisy for years (anyway off topic as I assume the CPT was there about the same time as the residents or built after). In my opinion the pub wasn't that noisy on Saturday Evening - they do have a DJ but it's not really excessive. Most problems I've seen are people going home a bit worse for wear.

  3. I'm not sure Damian Green realises how badly what he's saying will go down. He's making out they gave money to NI out of generosity - we all know it was a deal.

    Fruit picking

I remember Pick Your Own - brilliant idea to get the consumer to do the work but they must have realised.
  5. Barnett formula I think it is. They've bypassed that apparently somehow - but Wales First minister has already put in a huge moan.
  6. I popped in Saturday. Didn't think it was too loud - but was busy. Heineken less than ?5 - which is more than I can say for some of the other bars I frequent.
  7. 1 Billion for NI for the DUP votes - 100K per vote. This magic money tree is good :)
  8. We need some elected power to match the HOC

If a pedestrian appears in the road for any reason whatsoever all other traffic should stop (even if the pedestrain is completely in the wrong - and could be prosecuted later - he has right of way for now) watch out by Peckham Rye by the way as the whistler is jumping into the middle of the road all day every day at present.
  11. We've been told our flats are all secure (as in a fire cannot spread between flats) But I read if you make holes in your walls (to hang a TV for instance) this can break the fire wall (don't know if it's true).

Don't put any HUUUUGGGGEEEE cartoon from the Daily Mail up here unless you would be willing to plaster it across the local pubs :) And that is HHHHUUUUGGGGEEEEE. (you could have made it a bit smaller) (really I don't care - because it's the Daily Mail)

Everywhere outside London doesn't include Wales where I'd expect my home seat (Gower) to go back to Labour, and maybe one other. http://www.itv.com/news/wales/2017-06-07/labour-are-on-course-to-retain-their-dominance-in-wales-according-to-our-latest-poll/ This of course could be part of the game - but I have a feeling they've peeked at the postal votes (edit: illegal of course - so not casting aspertions :) ). https://www.rt.com/uk/391147-labour-tories-general-election-2017/ (It's Russia Today ;) )
  17. Wales Online goes for it's Lions test team http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/how-likely-lions-test-xv-13148586 What only 8 Welshmen - Where's Rhys Webb :) :) . Not that I'm counting nationalities - but it won't be that.

With all the issues recently and the attempts the Labour party have made to woo young voters (Corbyn's on the front page of Kerrang and NME, he has the support of Grime4Corbyn and his rallies are always packed out). if they don't come out this time I despair.

Yet that YouGov poll was meant to look at individual constituencies - although they did have a huge margin of error. Might be egg on the face for them (again)

  24. Gatland for years was of the school of thought that you kicked the ball 50m in play then turn it over when the opposition run back at you. So you don't see a lot of balls kicked into touch. But thought that might change with the Lions.

It's a free market surely the bookie wants people to bet - but also must make money. So sets the odds in order to do both. Do betfair have odds - that's a slightly different system ?
