It would be useful for people to think where we should be in 5 years ? Change managers will always jump on a big event to implement changes that were coming anyway, the chaos and dissatisfaction helps change because people start to demand "something different". This is an aim of the change process.

Ahh the Trump thread. being 7pts odd behind and needing to pull back in the swing states Trump is coming out with more and more dirty stuff - but some people seem to like that. I think we can expect it to get as dirty as a 1970s Wales-England rugby international. They played on loop a video of Nancy Pelsosi going to the hairdresser this morning. https://news.sky.com/story/us-speaker-nancy-pelosi-claims-she-was-set-up-by-salon-where-she-was-caught-without-a-mask-12062196

She seems to be going with the Jeremy Paxman style since her return to SKy News breakfast which is entertaining. I remember Paxman got found out in the end though and interviewees got trained on how to deal with him Burley: He is a homophobe and he is a misogynist. Hancock: But he's also an expert on trade. This is being expanded on twitter with such as Burley: He is a serial killer Hancock: But he's also an expert with patios.

They basically used the credit card trick I guess ? A single yale lock isn't really enough anymore (not they I'm the best for double locking everything).

Not criticising but mines 10 years old and still going strong (I did buy a really good specced one - that has really lasted the years. Still got a hard drive and 1st gen i7 :) ). I agree the forum is difficult on an iPhone. It'll die now you wait. -
Does everyone employ child minders then - I was shocked when a friend said he had a nanny and a cleaner. My mother worked after my father died and we didn't even have our own key - just "latchkey kids" as they called it then - and we were supposed to be middle class. LOL Just Googled Latchkey Kids and "The latchkey generation?also known as Generation X?was raised by working parents who left them alone after school. ..." I'm GenX

He looked like he was melting a couple of days ago - It's his mental state I'm more worried about however.

I saw someone powering up on a scooter yesterday and they'd customised the scooter by widening the platform. Didn't go close to anyone though. -

Cladding - A big issue for us living in flats especially 6 floors or higher - you're OK on this it sounds - victorian conversions don't have cladding :) The extra service charge is a proposal - and covers all safety issues if you're a leaseholder - worth checking this - but still only a proposal.

And there isn't the possibilty of a ?100,000 cladding bill coming (if you're a leaseholder). The government is bringing in an additional service charge for safety in the new housing bill.

Working in IT - when security people push they usually win the argument. This is a security block on Chrome at least. The website designers knew since summer 2019 - plenty of time. I'm refrring specifically to the inabilty in chrome to enter a credit card and getting error about cookies and javascript. A vulnerability was identified, published and designers given the opportunity to update their code, the implementation was pushed back due to covid leaving this vulnerability open for a year. They closed it in july for Chrome. Internet Explorer seems to still allow access to the add credit card form but may create further errors (blocking credit cards ?). The link I made above specifically mentions that public and finance websites ay break if not fixed. -

This is the plan - eventually people will rethink their transport if they sit in queues all day. I'm not saying thats good but it seems to be one of the way things are done these days.

Oh - if you have this version of chrome you're done https://www.engadget.com/2020-04-03-google-rolls-back-chrome-samesite.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAM_IM1bLUM-66vArQGJ4Yjxx3mN2r4BJ76P37ABrmVuRdSjFZDzr6BByfPOpG-jzRErp_CUjhk9LM4Xlsr1UHo6TM_eMrfTSaBfOLt7puGz00Amgbg1mEhVnYXnQuFducGJGskNz0V8PDUsQc9KFjq4uPfiJOmJ4nyyDZIPr1Ab5 and July 14, 2020: SameSite cookie enforcement has resumed, with a gradual rollout starting today (July 14) and ramping up over the next several weeks as we continue to monitor overall ecosystem readiness and engage with websites and services to ensure they are prepared for the SameSite labeling policy. The SameSite features are being enabled for Chrome Stable channel users on versions 80 and 81 (who should update Chrome!), 83, as well as the newly released 84. I'm on 84 so I wouldn't be able to do this on chrome. -

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a legacy system and they haven't updated their links its so bad. One thing I noticed latest Internet Explorer allows the card details by default Chrome doesn't.
