Companies are supposed to be looking at flexible hours - I've covered summer and xmas for people with families for years (and I don't mind doing it being single - I used to enjoy working at christmas - just me in the office LOL) but it's becoming more formal now. https://www.wired.co.uk/article/flexible-working-post-covid

I see (and hear) him outside Tesco Rye Lane now and again.

Thanks, Revived. Forgot that existed :)

Revived :) I've been playing Fallout76 on PS4 for the past 6 months - up to level 95. Any chat on MS takeover of Bethesda or the way Fallout76 is evolving, it seems to be an evolving game rather than something you do then drop. What about PS5 versus Xbox

7.5 Billion dollars. Bethesda make Fallout and Elder Scrolls Will this push XBox ahead of PlayStation. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-09-21/microsoft-to-buy-bethesda-studios-for-7-5-billion-to-boost-xbox

The pub - meaning just going in standing at the bar. I guess our we'll have a virtual Xmas jumper day - probably being organised even now :)

Social distancing /self isolation rules

Listening to the CMO and CSO today it seems immunity doesn't last that long and that's the received wisdom now. I get the feeling they were talking about immunity from infection lasting less than a year. Bad news as without a vaccine we can get Covid again and again. Good news at present is that treatment appears to be improving. -
Oh My. Went out for a few with the Bullingdon Boys and woke up in Italy. "According to another passenger on the flight back to the UK, Johnson was on his own, apparently without any luggage and very much the worse for wear."

Hope there wasn't any issue with South Wales - natives are usually friendly. I haven't been back in 8 years now.

I used the C word to the last phone call like that - one day it really will be the Inland Revenue and not a boiler room fool or recorded message.
-
I'd say normal for the UK is to say nothing and quietly complain. We British don't do much "face to face" stuff as it's seen to be not the thing we do. If they're allowed they're allowed if they aren't they aren't. No problem in checking and looking after your own interests.

What's Boris done now - to be fair the guy looks constantly ill these days I noticed the insinuations on Kay Burley Ahh .. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/sep/21/no-10-denies-reports-boris-johnson-went-on-secret-italy-trip Shapps ?Not that I?m aware of. I think it?s mistaken, as far as I?m aware.? that means Boris didn't tell Shapps - who is only Transport minister..

My employer (and many) is flexible on that sort of thing (families, school etc.)

Flats are still over 500K - similar to SE22 and the foreigners will rent out so care about the rental income which in turn depends on transport. So many youngsters staying here for a night out.

or maybe it's all advertising for Nero's rehabilitation https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/new-nicer-nero-history-roman-emperor-180975776/ Looked for an ED link with the author but couldn't find one. -

They all have a spelling mistake or an alternative spelling ? As maybe to the songs/singers -
The talk of twitter is Boris going in December (or January) and Gove taking over. Except the LibDems who seem otherwise engaged.

I thought generally people only start new threads by accident and use one once they know it's there. But if that's the way the cookie is crumbling :) But as my old boss used to say "Reply to The Thread"

It's all log jammed and that's only the threads LOL

By the way the above is 2013 and shows how we now live in a different world where the most minor points are that Ed Balls is now more famous as a dancer and Sadiq Khan doesn't cross the road and say "Hi Kids".
-
So how is all this huge conspiracy decided. Does Khan go to Bilderburg. I googled it and I have the answer definitively. (I'm not sure if this is UncleTV)

Actually the election should have been this year so maybe he's a bit "stand in" until he can get a mandate (or lose) - it's not really a good situation for him.
-
I don't want another Elephant Park which seems to be empty and soulless (although I haven't seen it recently - maybe the final bit will improve the whole lot - we can hope) A few new places opening at the moment it seems - can't find links online.

I'd have thought you would have accused me of living on a bit of a genrification leftie liberal bubble if anything LOL. I'm old enough to have heard people say "best of british luck to you".
