Us in IT have said that for years - it's called offshoring and was a big reason school leavers and college leavers stopped taking up careers in IT (you can support a DC from India as well as you can from London). But IT is one of the few jobs where there is demand - for some reason it doesn't happen. Although here's this years prediction https://www.business-standard.com/article/companies/covid-19-may-trigger-third-wave-of-outsourcing-for-indian-it-industry-120083101244_1.html same as every year.

It's Statutory Guidance - that would need to change surely https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/reallocating-road-space-in-response-to-covid-19-statutory-guidance-for-local-authorities (I looked up what Statutory Guidance means as it's contradictory so - https://www.localgovernmentlawyer.co.uk/governance/314-governance-a-risk-articles/16316-when-is-guidance-statutory-and-does-it-matter) "exceptionally and with good reason, we might deviate slightly from it; but it carries its own legal authority because, almost all the time, we must follow it." and they sped it up in May - 23 May 2020 Details of amended legislation to speed up making Traffic Orders.

  5. Pneumonia of unknown cause reported to WHO China Office 31 December 2019 At the close of 2019, the WHO China Country Office was informed of a pneumonia of unknown cause, detected in the city of Wuhan in Hubei province, China. According to the authorities, some patients were operating dealers or vendors in the Huanan Seafood market. Staying in close contact with national authorities, WHO began monitoring the situation and requested further information on the laboratory tests performed and the different diagnoses considered.

  9. Are older people shielding (or just being much more careful). I'm not old but I haven't been out much at all if I'm representative - I'm not really scared, just doesn't seem worth it for the hassle (sitting down at a table, no talking to anyone, ordering by app) - whilst for teenagers and twenty somethings it is.

  11. Gowers nice for beaches and walks (but not sure how busy it is these days as I see pictures of three cliffs etc. everywhere).

That was when you had 'input to this > process'. We are only a democracy at that point you put your vote in the box, that's why you should vote for someone you trust to do as they say and have a moral compass.

The next time a cyclist pops into see Cummings will it change again ?

  17. Actually I'm fed up with drunken people from the Rye Lane nightclubs trying to catch taxi's outside my flat at 4AM because it's still open. LOL. I put up with it for the greater good - but if nobody wants it :)

It's like he has two personalities .... oh :)

Suddenly I remembered this morning that once Glenn Hoddle was England Manager until someone found out that he believed that disabled people were punished for something they'd done in a past life - he was gone before you could say "penalties" Would we accept him as a member of the board of trade now ? and here's the link from 20 years ago in case you youngsters don't believe it happened (The Guardian keeps these) - https://www.theguardian.com/football/1999/jan/30/newsstory.sport7 Claire Fox has SUPPOSEDLY defended the IRA bombing of Warrington in the past yet she's been made a Lord (link here - https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/claire-fox-blocked-peerage-ira-warrington-bombings-a4517291.html.) - so we seem not to really mind. Where is the line - there must be one or we'll be appointing truly evil people.

Well he is appointed as is Dan Hannan - there are a few others too.

Boris has just said he "Doesn't agree at all with those views". Is he preparing the ground for someone else to be appointed. It isn't really a U turn if they don't employ him but it's a bit of an embarrassment for Pritti (who seemed to recommend him). This government seems sensitive at the moment (or maybe Boris is) - they just sacked one of Cumming's team for saying on social media that XR should be fired on by police. Sabisky also got sacked for his views on eugenics earlier this year.

Some companies are stating queue management has nothing to do with them. Maybe that's why they are saying go home.
