Rye lane walk & cycle only from 6/7

It seems that a lot of what help is there is given to the allies of this government (like Wetherspoons). https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/jul/11/pub-landlords-livid-lack-of-support-rishi-sunak I'll be back in the pubs but the current arrangement doesn't suit me and I'm happier at home (and saving money as my beer is so much cheaper) - Going out can only be for social reasons or a pint of draught (yet to try the kegs of beer you can buy online). -

Ifs aren't worth much - but two weeks earlier and we'd be out of the lockdown by now. It's all so reactive which is a trademark of this in England. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/jul/10/we-need-to-be-stricter-on-face-masks-says-boris-johnson -
Unless someone is in my directory I don't usually answer - I was told this is how millennials use their phones so I'll do the same. Alexa has now started announcing my mobile phone calls too which I also usually ignore - soon she'll do it all for me and I can just play Fallout76 all day :) DF is right though - seems voice mimicking software is out there. https://www.wtvr.com/news/local-news/voice-mimicking-technology-bbb-warning-emergency-scam I've moved a lot of my online stuff to MFA/2FA authentication

My Postie delivering a bike part called me by my first name today - OK it's on my letters but I thought rather nice :)

Oh and the only thing the Guardian will have written is the headline. To read an article or extract from a book in any newspaper you need to remove the click bait headline. I think I'm on the wrong thread to be moaning about click bait headlines which are everywhere and spoil an article.

It's not a Guardian Article it's an individual article by this woman (and she's getting the usual abuse and threats) https://twitter.com/LellyK/status/1280235329073623041 Half the article seems to be about Domestic Violence - Turn the (now virtual) page if it's not liked.

Had to pop into the Office in Holborn today - place was like a ghost town - pubs and coffee bars all shut except for Wetherspoons (Knights Templar and Penderals Oak). Some are boarded up. The Punch on Fleet Street said it was opening tomorrow. Peckham and ED felt very busy in cmparison. -

I think that's sciatica except the sciatic nerve goes from lower back to foot and can hurt all along its length - remember laughing when my Mum had it and couldn't move - not laughing when I did.

Wetherspoons increased their prices by 10p or so apparently https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/wetherspoons-increase-drink-prices-super-saturday-pubs-reopen-england-a4488811.html -

Businesses still need people (if the businesses can survive and that's what the government need to try and ensure). I remember the early 1980s recession and to me that seemed much worse than anything that came after due to the mass unemployment from old industries - it felt hopeless at the time but by 1987 there was a boom. The rich, astute or lucky businesses (or those with contacts) will be buying up the rest now I guess - just as some of us imagined would happen after Brexit. What I mean is life will continue and we will bounce back :)

Definitely 4th July I'd have said. Spares the next day ?

It's individual - if you're in Victoria it's 6 AM to catch commuters https://www.jdwetherspoon.com/pubs/all-pubs/england/london/wetherspoons-victoria-station-concourse

I had both knee pain and sciatica (in separate legs) after doing some work. The sciatica went after about 6 weeks and the knee still hurts a few months later. I had to keep buying codeine/paracetamol for a week even though you're not supposed to (they say 3 days max). Tried heat and cold sprays too but they didn't do much. Very gentle stretching helped with the sciatica - increasing it as I could.

A Welsh persons favorite England hooker (Brian Moore) seemed to be at a pub called the Garden Shed in Wimbledon and gave it a good review for spacing, atmosphere etc. There are some pubs that look to be OK and may be worth visiting in a couple of weeks.

Some of that little ex empire seem to have been suffering a bit under Greene King - not talking local here - the "group" is across London - but I have one or two in mind that have gone downhill compared to their rivals. -
Sitting down, no mingling, no standing at the bar, table service only, not sure of the loo protocol. It's all a bit like being at home. :) Lets see if anyone gives a review of their experience.
