  1. re: the insanity thing, could be deulsional disorder: "false beliefs based on incorrect inference about external reality that persist despite the evidence to the contrary and these beliefs are not ordinarily accepted by other members of the person's culture or subculture" Not that it really matters much.
  2. Get a Q-bot and jump the queues - just did so on my 5th visit and it completely transformed the experience. ?15 a person.
  3. Whilst utterly shocked by the act I did wonder if there was a positive amidst the tragedy and mayhem. I wonder if the murderous frustration that people like this show is a sign of how much they are marginalised in modern society. Perhaps this is the sort of thing old Adolf himself might have done had he lived now, instead of being allowed near actual power and causing 50 million deaths. Just a thought.
  4. Sorry to disappoint with the thread title. Indicators to me are: Cheap price Use of text speak when selling something 'grown-up' Single post only OR posters who only sell stuff but always make out they have a personal reason for selling Arranging to exchange goods in the pub or away from home Nothing definitive here, just some suspicions, and it's an industry I'm loathe to support I wonder if people who buy and sell as a business should be made to indicate this; this would separate them out from the fences.
  5. Over the years I've noticed more ads in the for sale section that I'm pretty sure are for stolen goods. What do you reckon are the top signs that indicate nicked gear?
  6. Landed somewhere, maybe near kings
  7. The barrow got me interested too - looks like it's probably under the local authority block though.
  8. I am interested thanks. Reports can be found on the Ryman league site http://rymanleague.goalrun.com/leagues?league_news_item&lid=256&did=2102&id=2755643
  9. This is a pretty good Zombie thread - raised from the dead. 2 years and 8 months nearly between posts - is that an edf record?
  10. I'm not excusing this guy and I agree that this post should be warning others. It must be at least unnerving to be faced with this guy and probably quite frightening. I wanted to add that if he has a gambling addiction it is a real problem, he wouldn't be doing this for kicks but just to try and solve a problem caused by gambling losses. It's the wrong way to do it and he should be arrested and judged by the courts. The best outcome would be to get him back into treatment to prevent the cause of the crimes he's trying to commit.
  11. Crocuses out in Horniman gardens this morning, lovely sight. Waiting for those bluebells in dulwich woods.
  12. Kathryn, I'm on Landells, were they trying to force the door?
  13. I'm with Jah - I bought the Times the other day without thinking and felt guilty. I love my sport and cricket particularly but just can't support the murdoch empire.
  14. I miss Louisa's posts. What ED does have is a lot of mid to late 20's with parents and friends visiting who they can't accomodate in their one beds/flat shares. So while ED doesn't need a Savoy it could do with a bit more than it has.
  15. Another success for the EDF - this one's saved me hundreds of pounds and lots of stress before xmas as it's the only key I have. I would have had no clue where it had gone if these kind folk hadn't intervened. Thanks guys.
  16. I think it's mine Ko, I've sent you a pm
  17. Has anyone been up to the south bank? It's like xmas eve. Surreal in november
  18. "The history of the site (and what happened in it when the subsiding orginal building stood empty) is hardly auspicious." Are you just talking about the subsidence or was there some horrendous multiple murder to add to the story?
  19. Bawdale was rammed with kids, and with the aforementioned folk handing out sweets. It was a fun place to be.
  20. I've been quietly watching this post convinced that it could be the one thread that someone couldn't use to say something unpleasant or start an argument. Wrong again!
  21. That planning link apperars to result in a refusal of plans on 22/9 of this year?
  22. I'm called James and I have an extraordinarily large lower facial protuberance* (*may contain lies)
  23. I cycle past here and find it a bit dodgy at times with cars trying to squeeze through. I've noticed they have an emnpty strip of grass between the hockey pitches on the right as you head towards herne hill and the road. it wouldn't take much too cost and effort to build an access road that could hold around 4 or 5 coaches i reckon. zoom in under the 'A' on the map below. View Larger Map
  24. What with the fireworks and the Barclays bikes and the strangely familiar blue colour bike lanes why don't we just rebrand the whole place as BarclaysLondon?
  25. I've had the same problem with baliffs, took a few plain speaking letters with advice on how to word them to get them off our trail. Anyway, does anyone know Vic Burns? It does if you stick it up your bum.
