In the end I've ordered a vileda spray mop. Hoping it does the trick and though ridiculously expensive for a mop it was much cheaper than the steam option!
I agree sometimes health and safety seems to have gone mad but in this instance, there is an obvious alternative (ie the steep plank up the skip) which doesn't create a possible hazard for others. In fact the builders a few doors down from me are doing this and they seem to be managing fine! It's just basic risk assessment. Is this unsafe? Could it harm someone? Is there a reasonable alternative? If you walked into this at normal walking pace it would hurt, and it would be easily avoided if the guy just did his job properly.
I've got the maxi on a city select, I have also had it on a bee. I'd look at the height - if they are the same height then get the cheaper one. But with the maxi have pretty quickly learned to adjust my stride so my foot strides under it. When I tried a different brand it was lower and I had to hunch to avoid kicking it which was really uncomfortable!

i met a lovely nanny at a playgroup and it seems to me a much more affordable way of having a nanny. does anyone have a live in nanny and would be willing to pm me with their experience?
considering a switch to cycling into central London. am relative beginner so will do lessons first i think... but how long does it take for someone taking it fairly easy? websites seem to suggest 45mins, is this realistic!?
I wouldn't worry, echo all the above. My first son only liked very smooth food, I was still pureeing risotto at 9 months old. You could try plum pouches, they have a few sweet yet savoury flavours, especially the yoghurt based ones.
A friend has asked me to make her some lactation cookies, which need brewers yeast and flaxseed meal. I can order these online but that will take a couple of days. If you had a couple of tbsp to spare of each then I would be very grateful! Alternatively if you know of any stockists locally (I will call health matters in the morning!) Thanks
I had a bee+ and I had my lascal maxi on it. You will def kick the board sometimes but you adjust your stride, if that makes sense. The maxi is a bit higher than other boards so your feet can stride under it a bit. Having said that, the new seated bugaboo board looks really good, and I know my toddler (at nearly 3) would like to be able to sit down! He sits on the lascal sometimes but it's not ideal. I see people walking to the side of their bugaboo boards but then it is possible to steer the bee one handed even with toddler on board.
have 2 kids and 2 cats and really need to have a quicker floor cleaning option than the good old mop and bucket. i need something quick so that i can do a quick clean after dinner etc. we recently bought a stick/handheld vaccuum cleaner which has been great - just grab it, vacuum the worst bits, and then do a proper vacuum less often. so i would like the equivalent in the kitchen. steam mop? something else? cheers!
We just did it with basically no preparation and it didn't make any difference at all. He could climb out anyway. If he couldn't climb out we wouldn't have done it - I would have kept the side on for as long as possible.
The coil with hormones is meant to reduce severity and length of periods. Essentially same hormone as the mini pill i believe. What other options did the doc suggest? What abut the injection?
