  1. Thanks for the info - glad the op made a difference, Belle. I'm looking forward to not having to shout so much at my daughter or hear her saying "Huh? What?!" all the time!
  2. My daughter is having grommets put it on Friday. Does anyone have any tips on after care or any experiences to share that might make me feel a bit less anxious about the op? Thanks!
  3. This Yamaha digital piano is very good, lots of my piano students have bought this and have been very happy with it. It's much more realistic than most keyboards and will last a good few years of playing. It is ?200. However, if your daughter is just learning the keyboard and doesn't intend to transfer over to the piano any time soon, then you could choose a cheaper option such as this Yamaha keyboard which is ?99.
  4. The are right at the end - noisy but thrilling! My 3 year old was scared of the clown who does unfortunately pop up quite often. She was fine with the freaky ghosts - all the kids seemed to love them. I have two 30% off vouchers if anyone wants them but they are dotted around at local shops and cafes - Emily's chippy has a load on the counter.
  5. See here for details of a company based in East Dulwich who will come to your house to take impressions of babies' hands and feet. Contact details: [email protected]
  6. Another vote for Lorenzo - as Pickle mentioned, he is one of the few photographers to give you a CD of hi-res images at no extra expense. This usually costs a FORTUNE from other local photographers that I have contacted! We loved the first photos so much that he now photographs our family yearly which is a lovely memento.
  7. Definitely get in touch with Mrs Tinks, very tasty homemade food by Julia, a local mum. She will deliver to your home mid-week. Here's her web site: http://tinksfood.com
  8. You can also see Pickle (Pippa) and other instrumentalists performing on Sunday 5th of June at Dulwich College. See here for information about the recital.
  9. I teach the cello and piano, you are welcome to come and try out either. I have cellos in varying sizes. Http://www.se22piano.co.uk
  10. Dawn or Monica at Healthmatters on Lordship Lane can both advise on homeopathy and are very knowledgeable. http://www.dulwichtherapyrooms.co.uk/#/prescripitive-team/4522969792
  11. Simon from amigo's magic http://www.amigosmagic.co.uk/
  12. Another recommendation for Verona Hall, she is a local, independent midwife and is really lovely and knowledgeable. http://www.veronahall.co.uk/
  13. Another recommendation for Simon, he is brilliant, the kids absolutely love him.
  14. Can anyone tell me the days that Gumboots is closed whilst moving to the new building? I think it's tomorrow but I've lost the letter from the nursery. Thanks!
  15. They are moving on Thursday 21st of October. What Jamma said sounds right - probably will be back in a year. Also to add we waited for 2 years before getting a place.
  16. Here's the link to download the instruction guide for the BT Monitor I have one for sale in the classifieds section too!
  17. I would recommend Clare Raybould. [email protected]
  18. Thanks for the tips. I think the stickers sound like a good idea for the scooter, bike and other paraphernalia we've got!
  19. Is there anywhere local that I can get some personalised iron-on name labels made? Or can anyone recommend a cheap-ish supplier online? I've looked at a few, some are really expensive like Stuck On You I think it's called. I would usually name clothes with a labelling pen but not all of the clothes have labels that are easy to find.
  20. Another recommendation for Giles, he's fantastic and very friendly. His web site is here: http://www.gilesdavies.com/
  21. We're at Bright Horizons too, would be nice to meet some of the mums and children for a playdate, particularly as my daughter is going up to the main room at the end of Summer.
  22. I'm going on easyjet from gatwick tomorrow, good to know i can take a buggy as i wasn't going to pack it until i saw this
  23. I did the NCT class with Tess and although we were keen for a home birth, it was no big deal when I was shipped off to hospital and eventually had a C-section. I must admit that the epidural did make the pushing bit impossible, so it's something I'd consider avoiding the second-time around, although it made the contractions a breeze :)
  24. I've used Carrie's daughters and Clazza and they are both great with kids.
  25. Hi Loz, would you do a session in the park with a group of kids? It would be nice to get some of the kids in a group photo perhaps?
