  1. I don't think they do have power of arrest - beyond citizen's arrest. They can just ask you to come back into the store. A citizen's arrest can be made if they know that a crime has been committed.
  2. Met Police do have legal powers to conduct a stop and search. (However much we agree or otherwise with how they use them) I'm not 100% sure of the legalities, but I don't think Co-op or their sub-contract security firm do have any such powers. I would guess they have the power of citizen's arrest, but would need to substantiate their grounds for doing so.
  3. I?m not certain that?s right. This is from UK Gov website: Your isolation period includes the day the first person in your household?s symptoms started (or the day their test was taken if they did not have symptoms, whether this was an LFD or PCR test), and the next 10 full days. This means that if, for example, your 10 day isolation period starts on the 15th of the month, your isolation period ends at 23:59 hrs on the 25th and you can return to your normal routine. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-households-with-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection#main-messages
  4. "they know they?d run the risk of getting their face filled-in. They would from me anyway." Just to be clear, you will be able to find me if you need to.
  5. KK - If you're referring to me, please don't threaten violence on a public forum. Please feel free to contact me directly if that's the route you want to travel on.
  6. Speaking of footballers, as a Palace fan I am aware of two first team players who have been exposed breaking Covid rules. Neither of whom lost their first team places even temporarily. I expect this is mirrored at other clubs.
  7. Did they also have a graph to show compliance of the Sky News team itself :)
  8. I couldn't begin to guess why you felt the need to offer that woeful excuse for the veiled racist comment you made. Only you know the answer to that, buddy.
  9. LOL - that is the kind of excuse my 12yr old would come out with
  10. Disagree with the challenge. Strongly agree that everyone who can should be wearing masks and there are many not wearing them who should be. Although in the shops I go in, Sainsbury's DKH mainly the compliance is generally quite high. But I just don't think it is down to other customers to try to enforce this regulation for all sorts of reasons, not least you may well be accosting someone who has a genuine reason for not wearing one. Someone with an ASD or anxiety type condition probably already finds the situation they're in quite stressful. NB as far as I am aware, there is no official mask exempt badge or any legal compunction to wear one. Also, the inference that white skinned people people of a certain class would be more compliant is a little off, KK.
  11. 8:49 apologises for offence 8:51 calls those offended snowflakes Classic
  12. Wise words - give it a chance to sink in before speaking to them again. Think carefully before complaining to their landlord or threatening to do so. intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I think that when people are made aware of their > less than desirable behaviour they will > ,understandably ,bluster/prevaricate .Few will > instantly acknowledge things . > > You have probably given them food for thought and > i wouldn't assume that they'll just ignore what > you've said .
  13. There are signs up as you leave the perimeter and enter the inner park.
  14. That seems like a bit of a non-sequitur. The OP is just asking for dog owners to follow the existing rules (those that don't already do so). There is no dog-walking perimeter, and jogging is permitted throughout the park.
  15. The ones at Peckham Rye and Goose Green are definitely open. I would have thought that was a Southwark wide (at least) directive.
  16. Full on 11 a side adult football match taking place on the playing fields up behind Camberwell New Cemetery this afternoon, subs and spectators - probably about 50 people in total.
  17. Beat is for Yoko Ono
  18. Please let me know if you think they may be yours
  19. "The area of the park has been used as a Bowling Green, with a supporting Pavilion. They have become underused but still cost a lot of money to run."
  20. Our VM is down - we are in Oakhurst-Kelmore Grove vicinity. Anyone else?
  21. Clearly, there are no easy answers regarding transport as we ease lockdown. But I really hope that the council do not step back on their commitment to promote active travel, and to do what they can to reduce the dreadful amount of pollution in the borough that is caused by cars.
  22. Aren?t non-UK NHS staff on a fairly straight path to citizenship anyway, if that?s what they want? After five years, a visa holding immigrant is eligible for ILR, and citizenship is possible one year after that.
  23. Mako - are you a parody account?
