Poor old *Bob*. Jah, you are tetchy today - is it withdrawl symptoms, or the crazy bint with the loud voice that's making you grumpy? Headphones and camomile, that's what you need sir. And felt-tip - that's genius, if somewhat deranged. I hope your current squeeze doesn't read the forum. Or that if she does, she has very strong locks on her door.
  4. I might pretend I have a meeting and go hunting cats.
  5. Heh, sorry, am sooooo bored today.
  6. Ahem! It's "repehensible"?
  7. Hmm, maybe I was a little hasty in my posting. OF COURSE stoning is more barbaric than lethal injection (as I said). And OF COURSE stoning for adultery is preposterous and seems unduly harsh. And don't even get me started on women's rights. But what I was trying to say is that a country's killing its citizens at all seems to me to be utterly barbaric and without mercy, and I can't help but wonder sometimes, when we get all up in arms about such things, that the US, our partners in peace, seem to get away with it. Adultery would be a ridiculous crime to be executed for (if it weren't so hideously tragic), but what would be an acceptable one? I just don't think there is such a thing.
  8. Jah, I did not know that. I'm happy to know it though: the song makes me happy and now it will make me happier.
  9. Wayne County and the Electric Chairs - trying to work out if F**k Off is too much for the good people at Lucky 7s

Eek, it's cold turkey for you Jah. I hope it hasn't lost my game of scrabble - I was doing rather well...

    I am Pamela Ewing.
  15. DJKQ - non-brewed condiment is what cheapo chippies substitute for vinegar. Looks like vinegar (thanks to colouring), smells like vinegar, tastes of nothing. Bah.
  16. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Ambivalent? really ? Well perhaps not, but I was doing the grumpy old women, cake, periods, willies thing. VBC, I disagree on the lack of beauty, but will keep my counsel and stop fannying about and do some work. Possibly.

    Where's the rest of it?
  18. Dammit, didn't wade through all the gazillions of posts to see whether pie was already in there. It is a tasty little number though, whether steak or cherry, with gravy or custard, puff or shortcrust, plate or deepdish. Anyway, 3 and 4 I will take - together they make 7 - and everyone who believes in things like numbers knows that that is lucky.

Can I be Ms Pickier..?
  20. There may have been some interviews. He was proper and could use words and everything, Jeremy. I don't go out with retards, thank you very much. Anyway, to get back to the matter in hand. Non-brewed condiment, I hate that. Low fat cheese, I hate that. Forgetting that cider's stronger than it used to be and your head exploding the next morning, I hate that (though I do enjoy the cider). Cake, hate that. Tampons, hate them. Willies, well, I'm ambivalent. Is this the "tiny little things" thread, except for ladies only?
  21. Must they be whole numbers? It doesn't say. If not, can I have pi(e) please. It's my very very favourite.
  22. Mostly a big fat what Mockney said. I agree that a sentence to death by stoning is particularly barbaric, but I think when you talk about a country's killing its citizens, it's hard to see degrees of evil. I'm not sure that it's more acceptable for the United States to kill someone via the electric chair than it is for Iran to stone someone to death.

  24. You don't think those readers' letters in Razzle just write themselves now do you?
  25. Too late now, but Hisar. Mmm, their mixed grill. God those lamb chops. Oh my.
