  1. They look good on my hood too.
  2. Are people poisoning squirrels then to sell on as food? Just from a scientific point of view, I'm wondering if that isn't counter-productive - can humans eat poisoned meat and be ok? Equally, is clubbed squirrel really in a state to be served up on a menu? Maybe in a stew... I'm not saying either of these things are the case, just wondering. I'm quite happy to eat meat, and consequently squirrel meat too - although I prefer my meat to come form animals reared and slaughtered humanely.
  3. Ooh PR, that sounds rather thrilling. I've not been on the back of a bike for a few years, but I do so enjoy it - would love to. reggie, have just been for a walk in the rain - sadly sans umbrella: walking doesn't get any wetter than this. Initially exhilarating, ultimately quite difficult to see. I like the idea of doing things that I've always meant to do - Chelsea Physic Garden is one of them, and I do love an afternoon matinee at the theatre, it feels a bit like truanting somehow. Jah, went to Tate Modern just a couple of weeks ago, saw some great stuff - there's a voyeurism exhibition you might enjoy (not calling you a peeping tom, but some of the raven-haired scantily clad beauties would be right up your street) Yay, this is all good.
  4. Had you been there all night Sean?
  5. So I have a week, maybe two, off work between jobs and will be staycationing London-style for at least one of them. There are a few things on my to-do list, but does anyone have any recommendations of things that I simply must see / do (or that they would see / do)? I'm finally going to get round to the Maps exhibition at the British Library, and plan to work my way through at least part of Food Lover's London but that's not going to fill seven days. Any ideas?
  6. My bus driver stopping on Rye Lane today to hand a banana to a bus driver coming the other way. Bromance.
  7. Oh Lee, I was going to reiterate my offer of marriage as my first one has dropped away, but you sound a bit pissy with a persecution complex, so I respectfully withdraw. I think perhaps D_C, your fat fingers were subconsciously saving me from myself.
  8. Yeah - it's not in the Drawing Room - where did my posts go?

  11. Ah Brendan, you expressed it so much more delicately than I ever could.

I had the very great pleasure of meeting H-M-B at the Barry Barry, and subsequently at Lucky 7s. I now know to have my dressing gown on when opening the curtains!
  13. Yes, his mending is first rate - even when I've thought things were beyond repair he's fixed them. Sometimes with a bit of a lecture about looking after my shoes properly, but that's no bad thing. I'm saving up for him to make me some boots - I bet they'd be dreamy. And Missus, quite so. Think that's why they always insist on giving you a receipt now. I do rate William Rose's meat - for sure I've sometimes had better, but it trounces anything you can get from a supermarket, and I'm not really sure where else I'd get it (always found Sparkes more expensive).

Help-ma: you live in the Gardens? I live in the Gardens. How is this possible that I have never seen you? As for screaming man, never heard him. But clearly as I've never seen Help-ma-Boab, I walk around with eyes and ears shut.
  15. I've paid ?40 for a whole fillet, but that fed 5. Meat's too cheap anyway. missus, I recommend that you eat more pulses.
  16. They built my in-home balance beam and pommel horse

Lee, if by any chance you are not already married, will you marry me?
