This is one of my pet hates too but what really irritates is the few times I have turned and asked the (normally) lads to turn it down I've had other passengers look at me as if I'm barmy for saying anything and no one backing me up, even if I get an earful back - if someone else said something I'd hope I'd back them up... no wonder the kids keep doing it.

was listening to PM on R4 little while ago, and they said that while debit cards aren't covered generally visa debit are often under a charge-back scheme - they advised contacting the bank who gave you the card for further advice/guidance... hope that helps Muffintop, on hols myself in a week and would be devastated if it was cancelled now.

Adventure bar - East Dulwich (Lounged when no longer about same)
buggie replied to James's topic in The Lounge
Out of curiosity I went in on Saturday evening, liked the drinks I had and was miffed blokie wouldn't swap one of his for one of mine - we made it for the 2 for 1, didn't find them watery. Wasn't expecting it to be achingly cool/inspiring/some where to rave about. Found it quite amusing that there were a group who can't have been older than early 20's and looked ++ indie/achingly cool who were having a great time - even singing along to the naff music which amused me as they def didn't fit the "estate agent only" tag. While there's no doubt things could be improved, as potential spot for a works do or a stop off for drinks on a night out it will serve the purpose. Liquorish is really nice too - went in there later the same night, music was better, and packed so bit more of an atmosphere - but then didn't walk back to see what the adventure bar was like then. Unfortunately for all morning the loss of inside 72, am guessing it wasn't popular or profitable enough for the owners to keep running it - but (as I'm sure has been mentioned already) that's not this bar's fault - it's like a favourite workmate being fired and taking an instant dislike to the person taking over the job, just because it isn't your mate. -
Walked past last night and it was ?open with "MAGNOLIA" in plaster letters above the bar. What was wrong with Magdela? Least that wasn't the name of an insipid paint colour

...to pull it back to cinema's - Surrey Quays isn't much better - have been in matinee's where I've been the only one watching the film while the other few couples really should have got room's! -

Al&Em Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What's this teeth kissing thing then? Pls > elaborate..? its when someone sort of sucks air in between their front teeth - normally if something's been done or said that they don't like instead of saying out loud what was bothering them, personally, I find it the most annoying thing someone can do - would rather they said out loud what was bothering them/causing upset so that the issue could be dealt with. -
its been hazy all evening - not noticed any different... boyf thinks it could be build up to the potential storms tomorrow - not smelling smoke at the mo - nearish and got my windows open!!

for any ?poisonings where the children are still looking well/alert/unbothered by the situation, I'd suggest calling nhs direct - they use the same toxicology database we have access to in A&E and can advise if it needs a visit to A&E or whether their ok to stay at home. To be fair to the GP, I'd suggest ingestion's like that would be an A&E thing rather than GP as if treatment was required you'd then have to troop up to A&E anyway - luckily though cases needing treatment are few and far between.

... there's always tummy bugs going round - then again I could be slightly skewed as I'm in A&E!!

haven't got mario kart (yet) but got Mr Buggie wii fit for his birthday, Couldn't find it in the shops but managed to find one not too over the odds on ebay. We've got quite competitive trying to beat each others records, don't think it can be played over the internet but can't wait to have more friends round to play it!

its not completely essential to be drunk to have a kebab - I often have a chicken shish as it's grilled chicken with salad in pitta bread - the dieter's takeaway!! (ok, with a lil mayo too!!)

I'm off on a hen night that night.... :'( Hope to make it in Oct.

Had a lovely time last night - still trying to get the hang of circulating - there seemed to be lots there that I didn't recognise or get to say hi to. There was a guy who tapped my shoulder and started saying hi, then said "oh you're not who I thought you were" ... no idea who I was meant to be! Mr Buggie doesn't like being called that, but until he starts posting himself - tough!!

Will be there asap after work - if anyone fancies popping a closed sign up outside A&E....!!!

I try and have blackcurrent and soda instead of coke if I'm going for soft drinks, and have been charged everything from 20p to ?2.50 depending on where I am, have even had barmen try and get me to have a coke instead as its the same price and they've been embarrassed to charge me so much - slightly missing the point that I didn't want a coke! -
thank you all - having a lovely relaxing day - with the sash window guy having filled my front room with his window sorting out equipment (had no idea how much stuff there'd be!!)... being spoilt tonight with nice dinner out though :))

Carey Marx the comedian has an interesting take on c**t - he says that he doesn't care if he offends people for using the word during his stand up as what are they going to call him.... not that!

metronidazole is a regularly used anti biotic for treatment of abcesses - it isn't used in relation to tonsilities so would be daft to be prescribed - also it might be ok to drink with it but think the possible side effects ie- gastro upset are more likely to occur.

Don't worry about needing a chair - I'm allergic to grass (so a field based festival was the ideal choice!) so looked on longingly - finally bought a huge plastic backed blanket on sunday afternoon!! Have got a sunburnt forhead - guessing its where I was straining to see over peoples heads!! Two big things I forgot in my prev post were Ken Campbell's school of the night and 50 ways to leave your lover - both v v funny/well put together.
