I think by now we can call things as they are. U.K. govt is staffed by liars and worse. We?ve all worked with people like Frost. That sort of wilful misrepresentation and belligerence always ends badly In short. This is as bad or worse than it seems in public. Hoping for the rescuers to arrive is futile. Ditch Johnson Ditch this govt When that happens, we will start to move forward

And yet, we are meant to believe that any of these people (Cameron, May, Johnson, Gove next?) are remotely capable of handling a small country in an increasingly hostile global environment on important matters? They are all small people. Small minded, incapable of looking beyond their own nose To lose one PM in 4 years is careless. To lose 3 (yes Johnson will be gone soon) shows you how crazy this situation is. The circle can?t be squared and this country will continue to decline at pace until people cop on and realise the country can?t leave eu and cherry pick the bits they like. The best case scenario at the moment is a shitty deal, claimed in the short term as a victory only to lead to years and years of grumbling as people realise how worse off they are and how little influence they now have This pattern of claiming victory only to see it disintegrate within months is well established. People need to start seeing that for what it is. A perpetual diet of snake oil

Mistakes happened before the referendum. It was birthed as a sop to the same lunatic wing of the tory party (and the usual newspaper suspects) and wasn?t given any definition, any legal status, usual ?gentleman?s word? promise on a leaflet from Cameron There was no threshold set for such a major constitutional change and the undefined Brexit meant it could be all things to all people It wasn?t fit for purpose. So if we want to speak of mistakes that is where I would focus But it?s all too late now - we did leave at the start of the year after all But the whole thing is a farce from top to bottom English govt ineptitude then and now. It?s one reason why I want eu membership Of course we can point to eu structural faults - but compared to how this country behaves? Nah

Keano pretends to be enjoying this But in the dark tonight. When he can?t sleep He knows. He knows
-
Be fair j.a It?s in the job description. No leaver has managed (in 4 years) to answer any question in any meaningful way so why would keano be different
-
?Where were we? You were avoiding answering any questions as per Let?s stick with the one. Why are English people, including leavers, applying for Irish passports in numbers ?
-
Let?s look at this piece of junk piece from some Brexit organisation Only 8000 dead!!! Not bad - except that wasn?t the eventual total was it te? It was a LOT MORE than that in this country And that was with a significant lock down. Had we not locked down how many people do you think the 50-60k total would have been? Neither of us are experts. But you approach this with some emotional guff and predisposition to conspiracy. I listen to experts not just in this country but around the world. They don?t know everything about this new disease either. But locking down has saved huge numbers of lives. Lives that will help rebuild the economy. https://facts4eu.org/news/2020_apr_covid_and_flu

So not just your government But most governments across the world. Communist. Capitalist. Liberal. They have all en-masse confected fears about this virus ? Every single one of them have idiots saying ?it?s just the flu? and they are all wilfully just ignoring such wise advice. Tell me - why would that happen? Why? Don?t distract. We all care about loved ones dying alone etc Just answer the question. Why are governments of every hue treating this as not just like the flu

Come come pk- we have that Japanese deal rolled over Well...I say we have that deal. Japanese parliament has to vote on it so let?s see. Our mps won?t get to. So much democracy. So much control And so much fuss over a deal that is worth so little to uk economy. Easy enough for Japanese to say ?sure. Whatevs?
-
You?re the one with outstanding homework keano. Leave ja out of it. Why are English people applying for Irish passports in records numbers - many of them leave voters?
-
I?m genuinely pleased to be a lightning rod for keanos id- someone he can distract himself with. Save him from the horrors of his own thoughts when he isn?t tormenting remainers. He can?t look at or listen to those thoughts any more. They hurt him so Must. Distract. Must. Believe.

It really isn?t. All countries provide basics and usually accept some immigration. There isn?t any special gratitude required for it. You havent answered any of my points But you have posted a potted history of my life without any reference to timeline so you have no idea I came to this country. I work. I pay tax. If I did the same in Yugoslavia but saw what was about to happen would I be wrong for pointing it out? Why do you want gratitude? Face the problems you are creating Given the history of what this country has done to Ireland I would pipe down if I were you about telling people to be grateful.
-
We have a lot of English people applying for Irish passports in last couple of years Irish people applying for British passports? Not so much Now. Why would that be?
-
I mean everything keano says in last post could equally apply to the many thousands of English people living in Ireland But you don?t hear many Irish people wanging on about it like it?s some kind of super power. Or wanting to leave the eu in order to... what? Still. No one knows.
-
That has all happened IN the EU It?s East Sussex I had been renting for years in London before moving here The U.K. furlough scheme is about to end (unlike several eu countries which have extended their schemes until 2021) Other countries have education and health schemes. What the hell damn point do you think you are making????
-
? One thing I?m certain of, whatever outcome we arrive at a good number of people will be unhappy? Something we agree on. But your first point about the eu is delusional. Countries do face uncertain futures. Pooled strength will be worth more than go alone small countries. Being part of the eu doesn?t guarantee a certain future and never did. As I hear from leavers all the time - uk was worlds something?th best economy (I mean that is slipping since Brexit. Obvs) but it manages to make top 5 whilst ?unable to Make its own laws?. Amazing stuff But I see you are now going with the tired ?eu will collapses or disintegrate? trope Or ?whistling in the dark?. Because the dark is what you know even if it isn?t your friend
-
The thing is... Keano (and people like him) They won. They enjoy that fact. It doesn?t make them happy. Nothing does for long. (Have you SEEN how angry they have been for last 4 years) But it?s something to cling to Pleasure is only ever fleeting. So tweaking remainer noses will do. It?s a plentiful supply after all. Loads of ?em. And they lost. Ha ha But he knows. They know. They are terrified of what they have done Can?t admit it. And certainly never here. Probably never even to themselves. Far easier to dismiss posts like this. And he will But in bed. At night. They know And he and they are damned because of it

So, as per, brexit remains undefinable. Got it. It occasionally hoves into view, at which point brexiteers come over all funny and vague and use weird language But actually define what might be a good outcome? God forbid
-
Nah. Johnson will claim whatever paltry deal he gets will be the eu caving in ?as per? Britain will be diminished Scotland will leave Johnson will be sacked Keano will still be keano Speaking of this fudge. Care to try and define it keano? Give me 3 things (or more) that Botha sides will cave in on and why this will be a bet win for Britain. Go on. You get to play Fantasy Brexit
-
Oh sweetie. Some things simply demand excessive attention Perhaps a smidge more attention and the liar you are subservient to wouldn?t need to renege on all of his main election promise or break international law
-
We all see him And the world sees U.K. Both with their arses hanging out
-
No cliche left unturned now keano eh? So easy to say ?no deal better than a bad deal? But what can we expect of people who didn?t know what they voted for (That IS what Johnson is claiming this week isn?t it?)
-
It doesn?t answer the question. At all. It doesn?t address anything about how many people told him all this at the time. About how mps wanted time to debate it only to be told shut up enough talking nothing to discuss It?s not old ground Because it?s the same ground over and over again He lies and he lies. Voters like you might like it but same people in this country and international partners have had enough
-
How many years since the referendum keano? How many extensions has the U.K. had to ask for? And why have they had to ask for them? Was it because the eu caves in as it always does? Or was it just obvious the U.K. was in no way ready?
-
None so blind as those that won?t see England has talked itself into a corner and has no way out. So it talks about breaking international treaties or imagines the eu will just abandon the rules of the single market to accomodate this tantrum Sorry keano. But the just like the German car makers, no one is coming to the rescue of the U.K. this time. U.K. govt has alienated too many people Johnson will either renege and accept a slim pickings deal (in which case he?s gone) Or he goes ahead with no deal (In which case the country implodes and he?s gone) The govt has never ever been able to deliver on the promises made before the referendum. Because it was only talking to itself.
