  2. Rosie, try yamipod free software. It allows you to move music back from your pod to pc. http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/home/
  3. PR, your CDs will ALREADY be stored *somewhere* on your PC. You just have to find out where it is and redirect itunes to read your music from this location, rather than copy all your CDs again. Your music is not copied to itunes, as such, rather itunes reads it from a directory in windows.. Hope this makes sense.
  4. Sounds awesome, *Bob*. Can I buy the RATM single on ltd edition 'scorched monk' coloured 7" vinyl?
  5. Does Matthew have his prize yet?

That's the question everyone's really asking. Right?
  9. I find that gently but firmly massaging the room temperature steak in the build up to cooking, along with regular sprinkles of beer (me and the steak) produce a finished slab of beef that is second to none. Always rest on a warm plate, covered loosely with foil, for up to 5 mins before serving.
  10. Don't have a problem with considerate motorcyclists using bus lanes - would happily trade off full access for motorcyclists to STOP using the Advance Stop Line / zone at lights (that's the green area designed specifically for pedal cycles). The look of bemusement when I point out that they shouldn't be in the area makes me wonder if many of them should be in charge of a moving vehicle at all. [/rant]
  11. If you're really not sure then how about gift vouchers from www.wiggle.co.uk ? He can then choose his own cycling goodies. Not sure about the protective gloves though. Seems like overkill for a commute ride...
  12. Chinese proverb: He who stirs rice is destined for sticky ending. You should *never* stir the rice.
  13. Isn't Rod Liddle a renowned, alcoholic bigot? That would explain a lot. Pissed when he wrote it? Maybe.

  15. Quite. Can we have a description of the perp? This sounds serious.

  20. From the post office, you say? At 11am? What make/model phone was it?
  21. Surely this is in the wrong section? Can a mod/admin please move it?
  22. Just drinking my first beer of the day now...that's almost a crime in itself. FACT.

  24. Fact. E2A: was not a response to PGC's Rhyming Slang quiz... Can't seem to work that one out.
  25. If your first post was serious (and I suspect that it's not) then it's based mostly on anecdotal evidence about the rise in muggings in SE22, committed by thugs from out of town, the claim that people aren't reporting crime anymore plus advice on how to be a vigilante. So forgive me if I didn't take it seriously, but these things often pop up on tinternet are to be taken with a pinch of salt.
