  1. Thank you everyone :-)
  2. Happy to borrow or buy :-) Thanks Clare
  3. Are there any that are particularly good? Where do I buy them? Any locally? My daughter is teething and we are ready to try anything! I remember a thread ages ago about these and a lot of people said they made a huge difference. Can't find the thread but definitely interested in getting one!! Thanks Clare
  4. Yes, you get the money back plus an admin fee ie more than your money back, it's paid in a lump sum at the outset too...or two lump sums if the maternity leave spans two tax years!
  5. Ive got this one, which I love! Doesnt look like a change bag and will make a great overnight bag once the change bag is no longer necessary. Comes in various colours :-) John Lewis have it too but its a lot more expensive there! http://www.bloomingmarvellous.co.uk/product.aspx?CategoryID=bags&ProductID=82098RED&language=en-GB
  6. does anyone know the stats for Heber?

Totally agree! I have nothing against the church and am certainly not a "church basher", I agree with the principles too however do not agree that tax payers should fund exclusive schools!! I am not 100% comfortable with public schools however, these are not funded by the state and if people choose to spend their money this way that is entirely their decision. I have no problem with "faith" schools, I do however disagree that children should be discriminated against because they are not the right faith! They are too young to have an opinion on religion or faith, seems wrong they are discriminated against due to their parents beliefs, non beliefs or (as the case is) church attendance! If a school is publicly funded it should be available to the public!
  8. Would be very unusual for a partner to do the work...... check the disbursements quoted are the same, stamp duty is technically a disbursement but may not have been included on both quotes (and makes a huge difference!)

Email each publication that uses it pointing out their infringement! If a third party is selling rights to your photo I am sure you will track them down fairly easily this way.
  10. "The agency probably bought the article/photo in good faith so beware of who you 'dis' in these pages. Large corporations have large lawyers." In which case they would have an appropriate indemnity in the licencing agreement with whoever they purchased the rights from! If the licensor does not have the right to licence the photograph, as is the case if it is the OP's photo and they have not licenced it, then the infringement has still occurred and liabilty rests with each and every person that uses it without the consent of the OP.
  11. It is an Infringement of your intellectual property rights to have published your photo without your consent! You should make a complaint making it clear you are aware of your rights!
  12. Being christian isn't enough though! You have to be catholic!
  13. I bought my nephews cuff links and had them engraved with their initials, I also got them a toy each so they had something for now and something for later when they are older.

If they wish to discriminate in this manner then it should be funded independently! I find it hard to believe this is not deemed discriminatory!
  15. My mum craved oranges when she was pregnant with me :-) She went on to crave doughnuts with my sister !?!?! To this day she blames herself for my sister having fillings whereas I have none! I craved chips in pitta bread, chocolate and pizza with my daughter...... best I get her some dentures now ;-)
  16. my daughter is 3 months, I was recommended to go to RR rather than JB on the basis it's quieter and we wouldn't get a place on JB as its busy. We don't have membership. Does the 12 bus stop near PP? Thank you Clare
  17. Is there any? I want to take my baby swimming but will be going alone so don't want to take the buggy (where would i leave it) but also can't walk that far with the sling - gives me shoulder ache these days and its a good 2 miles away. Also, do I need to book for Rafts and Rafters? I have called the centre more than 10 times today but keep getting an answer phone message saying they are busy call later, the website is no help and neither are Southwark Council!!
  18. Why the change?
  19. Thanks all :-) Those whose babies have had it, was their arm at all sore looking afterwards? If so for how long? It's not the vaccination itself I have a problem with ( although agree it is debatable whether necessary), it's that I is so young, and it helpfully coincides with the week she has her 16 week jabs! It's good to hear that everyone has had a positive experience with no negative effects.
  20. Would be grateful for thoughts/views on this? Have received a letter inviting me to have my 3 month baby vaccinated next week. Seems a barbaric vaccination to have so young and I understand it is no longer done nationally. London being an area that does have occurances of TB mainly amongst certain communities, hence the vaccine being offered. Thanks Clare
  21. Saw the cheeky girls in the Dog a couple of years back.. Is that'heat worthy?
  22. Has the parrot been reunited with it's owner? Hope you found a cage, probably worth posting a cage wanted ad on the wanted section.
  23. Welcome to ED! Don't leave the forum Steve! ED is a great place and there are loads of lovely people on the Forum. There are people on here that enjoy being contraversial / look for arguments but there are far more that don't, and often it could simply be that posts are interpreted differently to how they were intended. Even when you are registered for years certain members still respond adversely (see my thread asking about catholic churches / services over Christmas!). That aside, ive met some lovely people via this forum, it really is a great community and a useful site for local information/ recommendations. I really don't thing the posters intention was to upset you, s/he was trying to be helpful, unfortunately this seems to have been lost in translation!!
  24. I prefer this one ;-) I often see Kate Ford (Tracy Barlow) out and about. Also have seen Shirley from Eastenders in the Bishop, that was ages ago though....
  25. Thanks James, will wait to hear further.
