  1. I'm laughing at the concept of getting on at this end and always being at the Elephant within 59 minutes ... Are they having a giraffe ? ( although at times a giraffe may be quicker!)
  2. Thanks Bic More info here : https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/bus-changes Guess that makes a mockery of local PTAL scores plus harder to convince people to use public transport over cars as the frequency of one of our local routes has been cut and connecting at Peckham Rye for trains will also be impacted. Our local councillors and councillors to be should br all over this ?

So you don't see the irony that the pro ltn groups aren't transparent and they and Labour Councillors block responses on social media unless they follow you. As I said before it's one rule for all and everyone needs to be transparent, not just the groups and candidates you dislike. Or do you disagree ?
  4. I'm amused with the thought that as it's a double line which will be under the new cycle hanger, will cyclists parking their bikes in it be giving a parking ticket?
  5. Maybe you need to join a fencing club Bob, to allow you to solve your dispute the gentleman's way
  6. They would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those meddling pro LTN groups kids
  7. Ktg love the image of Tristan and Clive they used The boards around their necks are just missing "HMP Brixton" and numbers to paint them as the true criminais they are for wanting to reverse parking charges in parks... Oh the joys of non official groups trying to play politics

That is the difference. And > the fact you can?t see that is what is really > concerning about what is happening to our > democracy. Neither has Dulwich Alliance or One Dulwich yet you still mentioned them so you are coming at this from one side and trying to trash talk the other Play fair Sandra (or are you really Karen from Facebook?) Or don't play at all Oh and from what I saw of the Vote Them Out nonsense is that it's not election literature but a group of residences personal opinion as it hadn't been endorsed by any party but I could be wrong
  9. Sandra, you forgot to add groups like Clean Air Dulwich or Friends of Dulwich Square to your list of groups that aren't transparent. It seems to me that locals who want to be vocal on matters regardless of side should be either A) all made to list their names Or B) all allowed to be anonymous Claiming that one group is "shadowy" for protecting their identity is also viewing the oppression in the same light It has to be one rule for all.
  10. I'm curious to see where season 2 of Bel Air takes us Season 1 was strong and raised some important issues although the final episode felt a little rushed to get everything in.
  11. Lost - obviously lost it in the end Heroes - did anyone save the cheerleader ? East Enders - is Den still fighting Ange ?
  12. Did you use the land registry authorised yard stick that uses ye oldie imperial meters? Completely different unit of measure and you need to have the correct tool in hand otherwise you make a mess.
  13. Site under maintenance 🤯

    C'est sans surprise
  15. Whilst it's not ED ltn specific, the Beech Street (Barbican) trial of zero emission vehicles access only has just concluded. Great study on reducing pollution by 58% however the trial cost ?1.8 million in total. I'm lost for words on how schemes like this, on a very short stretch of road, can cost so much (are the road signs Gold Plated?) and makes me wonder how much schemes like LTNs actually cost and could they be implemented in a more cost effective manner?

That's almost a line for an Alanis Morissette song
  17. Just read that Uber has been granted a new two and a half years licence to operate in London. Thinking about how to safely share streets, it has been muted that ride hailing apps like Uber have contributed to reduced bus usage and more journeys being made by car. Wouldn't it have been an ideal opportunity to add a clause into the high level Uber licence limiting the number of individual private hire licences associated with them and also substantially reducing the overall number of private hire licences across London as a whole? Whilst it's a bigger issue than Dulwich or Southwark, it could be something that our councillors should be championing.
  18. Unfortunately the contract to deliver is between you and the courier company and Victoria Plumbing is seen to be the innocent party in this situation Your potential recourse is to put a claim into the courier company for a damaged and incomplete delivery but you may have to prove that you packed securely the items and get proof that they weren't received as you sent them. The thing that may be in your favour is if the delivery driver took a photo of the package at point of delivery showing it was opened or damaged. It's potentially a tough one to prove unless you have strong proof (photos) of how the package looked when you sent it and what was in it. Good luck
  19. Lol If I had a pennyblack for every time I've heard that joke recently I would be a multi millionaire
  20. Something similar appeared on here briefly, not sure if they are a party endorsed group but the idea of an unbiased summary of all parties / candidates standing in May would be very useful Sadly the flyer does appear to be heavily one sided but I do agree that the single party state that is Southwark needs a shake up Just found the old post /forum/read.php?5,2254104,2265645#msg-2265645

  22. Are there any street parties being planned for the June Bank Holiday I know we've got the gala on, but is there anything either as individual streets or a combined larger celebration planned ?
  23. Sorry to hear that Lynne, hope you are recovering now. As the adverts say dial 999 if you suspect you are having a heart attack or stroke as they are time critical.
  24. Is it the bomber that was reported in the Sunday Sport in 1988 ?
