    Poor cauli

I always feel sorry for people like Cauli Obviously young, emotionally immature and possibly with bullying issues (hence their retorts when challenged) Inspired to become a hacker but limted by only having their dad's hand me down sinclair spectrum so in frustration they register on public forums to post gobbledegook and try and build up a following of people who they want to be adored by, instead they alienate everyone. They want to crack the access code to playboy but instead end up on guysonly.com where they find that they aren't the most sarcastic person in the room. Cauli may well grow up to serve a useful position in society but not everyone wants fries with their burger. Excitement ranges from trolling on websites to a box of kleenex and babestation So instead on malaligning poor Cauli, we should offer them a strong shoulder to help them grow and become useful to society. 😅
  2. I suspect, Seabag, that if Bob could do cheese carvings like some do with chainsaws in wood or ice, then his guests would be more impressed 🤔 Maybe his knife obsession is why Mrs Buzzard is obsessed with building work 😅
  3. You're taking this one to the wire Bob But I have to ask, only French cheese or can you cut Edam for adding to the pineapple sticks ?
  4. Depends on how angry you are with the other person Not angry : Yours or regards Mildly angry : Thanks Medium angry : no signature Very angry : feckyou

Interesting use of Statistics by the Mayor today But dig deeper and you will see since his baseline year (To May 2016) and current year (To April 2022) that during his time in office crime in London hasn't been going down but increased before peaking a few years ago then falling last year when we were mostly in lockdown. Wonder if he's published the year on year change to show the true picture over the past 6 years and any correlation between reported crime and lockdowns. Gun crime : https://www.statista.com/statistics/865565/gun-crime-in-london/ Knife crime : https://www.statista.com/statistics/864736/knife-crime-in-london/ Burglary: https://www.statista.com/statistics/864791/burglary-offences-in-london/
  6. Interesting From experience around here we know one of the conclusions in it isn't true "They also said they had found no evidence that LTNs slowed down emergency vehicle response times" Seems a very biased piece 😉
  7. It's awfully quiet on here Has everyone given up using the EDF ?
  8. Bob's unbalanced in every sense of the word Pime 😅
  9. This has now turned into a lounge discussion
  10. It's more about where the 12 goes to and from now in central London. As someone mentioned, late at night its not convenient to change at the elephant and some users feel safer getting a single bus all the way. But think on, what will happen when normal working patterns resume in a short time, not enough buses is my opinion...

I see the Mayor is whining about the Met Police once again BBC News - Metropolitan Police has real problems, Sadiq Khan says https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-61696549 Interestingly (or not) he doesn't want to take responsibility for it, despite being the current occupant of the Mayor?s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) and is required by law to produce a plan that explains how the police, community safety partners and other criminal justice agencies will work together to reduce crime. The Police and Crime Plan reflects the Mayor?s manifesto and priorities for making London a safer city for all Londoners and the Mayor?s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is the strategic oversight body tasked with devising the Police and Crime Plan and ensuring that it is delivered over four years. Much like anything else he's responsible for, TfL is a prime example, he always seems to find someone else to blame... In my opinion, he needs to stand up, take responsibility and deliver something rather then blaming everyone else.
  14. Sorry, you aren't 11... my mistake you act older then you are... Good luck going to big boys school in September.
  15. Don't worry CauliflowerEar, half term is almost over and you can immerse yourself back in studying for your 11 plus again.
  16. Poor Dulwich Fox Gone but his posts will be with us to the end of the forum RIP Foxy
  17. New wave Did it leave a bitter taste in your mouth ?
  18. So Brian and Co are you implying that Khan is completely blame free? Or that some blame can be apportioned to him and some elsewhere ? As was said, the sooner TfL isn't used as a political football, the better for users 🙄
  19. Thanks James, for putting it into context. Out of curiosity, if you were still a Councillor how would you interact with TfL over this situation ?
  20. Say what you mean CPR ... But you're making a valid point, Khan has been in charge for 6 years so has to take a proportion of the blame. If he hadn't licenced so many uber drivers (other brands are available) then maybe bus use wouldn't have declined as much. If he had applied a fairer price structure then buses may not have run at a loss. He had 4 years pre pandemic to restructure but all he did was cancel the new route masters because they were associated with the previous mayor. But I guess, people voted for him again and this is how he's repayed us all...

  22. I love the tweet from Councillor Williams "To be clear this is a choice being forced through by the Conservative Party. They could use the ?500m raised every year from Londoners paying Vehicle Excise Duty to pay for London's roads as happens in the rest of the country rather than forcing bus & tube passengers to fund them" as Southwark Council and TfL seem to have an agenda of reducing private car ownership which would obviously erode this projected ?500 million VED income. He's almost shooting himself in the foot there. But let's compare TfL to a private company or a Premier league football team, where if they were in this much "trouble" the blame would be levied at the head and not the shareholders so in my mind, regardless of outside support that's been supplied, the Mayor needs to accept his share of the blame for what's happened during his watch and accept the consequences rather then punishing the users.

That's the point Nigelo, you have to change rather than a direct bus to Oxford Circus We all know how busy the elephant interchsnge can be so it just makes it more awkward for a lot of people.
  25. Oh oh oh Don't forget it has pedals too 😉
