@ miss helen maybe you needed to suffer what i am going through, & probably will go thru each time i leave my son somewhere! just be thankful it wasn't your daughter! for your information i have had to take time off work for at least 2 weeks.... this is because of the nursery's fundamental breach of contract! during this time i have been ringing round for nursery's & i can assure you it hasn't been an easy task....

i told sylvia on the day it happened, i wanted the parents to be made aware of the incident. i waited 24 hrs before posting anything on the forum, so i gave them their chances. i think she should've called an emergency meeting with the parents almost immediately! the worst of the story is that they didn't know he was missing until he was returned to the nursery! it seems the reason behind the parents receiving the email over the weekend was because they discovered the thread on the forum!

itv london did call earlier & spoke to adenike, (at least that is what the reporter told me) she is the nursery owner who was at the door. it was all too much going on because ofsted were there too.... i personally think it would've made sense to speak to all nursery parents in a special meeting set up by the nursery & given the parents a chance to raise their concerns & to reassure them. the nursery manager was made aware on monday the media had an interest in this story.

it has been a very traumatising experience for me & my son.... he had friends there but unfortunately won't be able to socialise with them again in the nursery environment! he's got to start his friendships all over again! secondly, i will now always be wondering if my son is ok no matter who i leave him with! i'm very sad its come to this.

itv contacted me after reading this thread last week, i did let the manager know on monday the media had an interest in this story..... all she said to me was i should discuss it with the owner! since the incident the nursery have made no contact with me, other than on friday when the owner called me & i went in to see her.

i have to say firstly i gave the nursery 24hrs before i posted about the incident on the forum. the parents had a right to know! secondly, when i was originally looking for a nursery for my son it was the forumites who recommended oaktree on tell grove, which is why i sent my son there! in turn it would be right for me to post about my experiences on the forum. it has come to my attention that an email was sent to parents about this incident on sunday.... the 11th which was my sons 2nd birthday!!

@ hellosailor.... it is the second time my son walked out of the fire doors unnoticed, the first time i was there with him & a member of staff was outside, whom he walked past without them noticing him. it was a day he was off & i had gone to the nursery with him. i saw him nearly running out of the gate & caught him. the manager was present when the first incident occured! i have to say though, parents do not always close the gate properly, although it would've made no difference in my sons case as he can open the gate. @louise61, I cannot thank you enough! if it wasn't for you who knows where my son could've been right now! thank you very very much! @bonfire2010.... that ofstead report is based on the old staff... not the current new batch! guys i have to say it has been a very traumatic time for myself & worse for my son now.... he is very outgoing & used to love the nursery! i believe he has been unsettled since the changes & that is the reason why this has happened. my older son was the one to drop him off every morning & he has said to me that over the last few months he was not happy to be left at nursery.

my son is nearly 2 & escaped from this nursery yesterday afternoon. this is not the first time! ofstead & southwark council are involved in this too. the police were also informed. my son was found on tell grove, in the road & found by a member of the public. it seems the nursery were unaware he was missing until he was returned back to the nursery & it was then they realised!!!!! i did inform the nursery manager yesterday that i want all nursery parents to be made aware of what has happened.

guys im about to start a new thread on this. please repost all your comments on the new thread.

do not even consider oak tree on tell grove....... my son escaped from there yesterday & they didn't even realise he was missing!!!!!!!! he was found in the middle of the ROAD by a member of public & then returned to the nursery!

similar thing happened on whateley rd last week wednesday. for some reason i opened my front door & saw a man standing very close to my car. i stood & watched him & a few minutes later he headed off in the direction of lordship lane. i knew he was up to something but couldn't figure out what. i then went & checked to see if my car was locked & thankfully it was. The next day my car was still in the same spot & i noticed the back door was not properly closed. im not sure what happened there but there were no signs of the door being forced opened. it happened around 11pm on wednesday night.

More buses on Route P13 from 22nd March
sweetgirl replied to Bic Basher's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
this may not be as great as it sounds!!! duty running times have been cut, breaks & stand times have also been cut.... this means when a bus is running late, due to traffic or unforeseen circumstances, the buses will be curtailing part way through their journeys.... which means you are likely to see more buses running out of services!! which also means you need to wait longer for the next bus to arrive.... well the new timetables should bee running in about two weeks time.... lets see what happens???? -
