  2. there was an incident on champion hill on tuesday i think... a motorcyclist went into a tree & died..... really sad to hear about these incidents.... must be hard for the grieving families. hope the lady involved in todays incident recovers well... as for toptree.... you certainly have a few tasteless posts on the forum!!!
  3. No school for these guys on monday.... but school website to be updated 7.30am.........
  4. i am considering getting a new phone on orange or o2 networks...... any idea what the reception is like??? im near lordship lane, by the police stn... & any opinions on their customer service? thanks
  5. i say stroller..... :-)
  6. i have been in a situation in the past where a cyclist dressed in dark colours, on a dark, wet & cold evening was cycling past as i was pulling out of a parking place, in a large vehicle.... oh... & no lights something told me to hold back, which i did.... & guess what this prick cycled past me!!! i could've killed or seriously injured that person.... thankfully i didn't! hi-visibility vests should be worn by cyclists at all times!!!! & lights should be a must!!!
  7. gimme... if you don't drive any other road vehicle you obviously will never know!! cyclists CAN be very difficult to see, SOMETIMES they just appear from nowhere! i think it is equally important for cyclists to know & understand road rules. as a driver of a much larger vehicle, i think for ALL road users, a course should be designed which shows everyone the view of the road & get a better understanding from another road users eyes. all it takes is a simulator designed course where you would see the road through the eyes of a lorry driver, for instance by the way i drive a car also......
  8. once it became the grove the quality of the food went down too!!! i only went in there once after it became the grove & won't be going back in a hurry until it becomes harvester again!! ;-)
  9. agreed garnwba.....
  10. priya.... alisha.... risha...
  11. my friends sister has just named her son bertram! not my taste but hey..... ;-)
  12. could be mosquito's, i got bitten on both my legs on saturday night... in my house but window was wide open. next day i realised there are mosquitos about!!! thought jamaica was the only place i got bitten by them! still sore & inflammed, am using aloe vera gel on it!
  13. stay calm! lol i have taken 2 types of tests in my time, one for a car & one for a bus.... failed both my tests first time on, what i consider to be silly things! i performed better in my first tests but passed on my second... oh well, i got there in the end! i'd definately recommend mornings, i took all mine first thing in the morning. nerves do have a way of playing up at these times.... i find its good to be a little friendly with the instructor, which can make you feel at ease.
  14. for me... its a fairly good service, sometimes when the weather changes, ie rain, thunder, etc reception can go down. but generally good.
  15. sorry neither do i! hope he's ok though....
  16. i'm sorry i'm really not inclined to agree with any of you!!! i live in dulwich on a residential street & have one car... my neighbours, have 3 vehicles... another neighbour has 5! when i come home late in the night i have to park miles away from my doors.. worst of all i have kids!!! i also have a nutty mechanic who parks many vehicles on our road which doesn't help matters... sometimes putting my bin out on the road gets me a parking space! as illegal as it may be i think we all have a right to park close to our houses! i think the only selfish people are the ones who have more than one or two vehicles per property!!!!!!
  17. my work involves driving, everyday i see foolish people, adults & kids.... running out into the roads. i see adults WITH children running into the roads to catch a bus... its ridiculous some of the things i witness every day. i think kids need to be trained from a young age how to deal with roads.... esp busy ones!! it pisses me off because they always try to blame the driver!! the pedestrian is to blame as well at times....
  18. i just looked online... abellio buses, number showing as 020 7788 8550.
  19. might be an idea to let the bus garage know about also......
  20. i had a personal letter addressed to me from the local councillors..... it was regarding this scheme. i have made an appt with these guys who are coming round next week. apparently you need to be in the catchment area..... its definately worth ringing them.

  24. @ tomdhu..... i don't agree with you totally, i say this because i spoke to my cousin yesterday, he live on stondon park, forest hill..... on the MAIN road. well basically, he got burgled last thursday during the day. they used a crowbar & broke in through TWO front doors... ransacked the house, found the safe along with lots of other cash around the house & made off with it all! they couldn't get into the safe but nevertheless, broke it of the wall & took it as it was! passports, lots of jewellery & loads of cash..... GONE!!!!! BE CAREFUL GUYS..... HE LOST A GOOD ?50K! & would you believe, NOBODY saw a thing!!!!!
