Also Dulwich and Sydenham woods although very muddy when we walked there yesterday in addition to being busy on the narrow paths still had people jogging which made for some uncomfortable moments of me stepping off the path into the bushes or almost slipping in the mud to get out of their way. I really am NOT anti joggers my OH jogs almost daily but all I ask is that they try and show respect for others dont run up to them puffing in their face, or run uncomfortably close behind them. THINK-not everyone is agile enough to dodge out your way. cant you slow your pace a little rather than running uncoftably close up behind pedestrians? If its a nice day chances are pavements and parks will be busy-perhaps jog earlier in the morning or later in the evening like my OH does-

I am massively anti the homogenisation of every shopping street and neighbourhood. I'll go to Luca on North X road as I do now...lovely people who have served the community well during Lockdowns past and present

Totally agree! going to the park (especially Dulwich) is actually stressful because of all the joggers especially around late morning lunchtimes. also the narrow pavements on Dulwich common road are often blighted by having joggers run at me puffing and panting in my face. My OH is a daily jogger and he actually finds the park too busy and tends to jog either early morning or late evening on roads when its quieter and avoids the park now. the WORST are the couples jogging who take up the pavement and make no attempt to go single file or break step for a moment to let pedestrians pass-I had to step into the road the other day because of this which resulted in me getting thoroughly soaked by a passing car going through a puddle. not acceptable !

I've reported too.

I thought it may be of benefit to those about to have their 1st jab about our experiences of side effects after 1st and 2nd shot and to mention what vaccine we had. I found a similar thread on another forum I follow and found it extremely helpful. I'll start. 1ST SHOT: VACCINE: Pfizer. SIDE EFFECTS: I was able to go to work as planned immediately after I had a sore arm all of that day and into the next the following day slight fatigue. I'll follow up when I have my 2nd shot as I understand side effects on that can be different. I am 61 years old.

I really really pray that you reach your target-As a 60 year old who grew up in the inner city I cant stress enough how wonderful it is for the local children (and adults..I'd love to learn to ride..never too late they say!)to have access to a Stables and actually for horse loving teens to have the chance to help with the mucking out and experience being around horses..something as a horse crazy 15 year year old I would have loved to be able to do.

I've only heard good things about this stables. And as previously mentioned if you do have an issue perhaps you should raise it directly with them and not post on a public forum.

Myself and my other half have donated and shared with our neighbours. Its a Wonderful idea as We are so lucky to have the Stables in our community-and I for one get great pleasure from walking past and seeing the ponies looking out of their stalls. Good luck Dillan and Rocky and if I'm not in work that day I will be there cheering them along. Just adorable!

Totally agree-this and joggers that run towards me panting in my face with no attempt to distance are another bone of contention. and peoples lack of spacial awareness in supermarkets. its deeply depressing how some people just chose to forget the basics steps to help stop the spread.

I'd rather it was a Lidl to be honest

We were there around 1pm quieter than usual, staff on stalls all wearing masks and the guy at the LL entrance acting as marshal was very good at stopping people and asking them to don their masks. We felt pretty safe there, much more than formerly.

How to report an illegal gathering?
NewWave replied to traveler2's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
please do report this. Its this attitude of selfishness and disregard for following the rules by the few that has contributed to the horrendous death toll from Covid. I bet the same revellers dont wear masks on the tube and chain (falsely) they are 'exempt' -
