  1. Amazing story that.
  2. Mac, you're forgetting Rangers no longer play in the SPL. Whereas before it was a two horse race, Celtic have got it all to themselves now.
  3. Don't worry Otta, the beer's on me.

  5. Hmmm....but Vertonghen's body language of late would tell you that he wants out.

I'm rather hoping we'll watch it together. If they play better than us I'll be the first to congratulate him and his team and I'm sure he'll be the same with me. I think we're going to get hammered though. 1. Because Michael Dawson may be fit enough to be play on Sunday and 2. Because I think Sherwood will be silly enough to select him. 3. I like Dawson, he's Spurs through and through but his serious lack of pace won't do him any favours against Suarez and Sturridge. So if we lose as I expect we will (we haven't won up there too often in the last 100 years anyway) it won't be something I wasn't anticipating but if we do get lucky enough to even get a draw up there that will be a respectable result for me and a win a major bonus.
  7. The Alleyns Head has changed its name? Good grief! WTF are they calling it now? The Kebab & Calculator?

  9. What's the problem with Fergie picking his replacement? He's a very successful football man with vast knowledge and experience. Club chairman are businessmen and most of them do not have a clue about football. Chopping and changing the manager every five minutes gets you nowhere. What's happening at WHL is a good example of that. I hope Moyes is given the time to do the job he's been given. I can fully understand the fans impatience but to rebuild a club in the way that Manchester United need rebuilding will take more than a season or two.

  11. How is Oxlade Chamerlain's diving save with his hand not a sending off? Poor decision by the FA. Surely, if the referee had got the right man in the first place the decision would have stood.

  13. Liverpool are definitely benefitting by not having to play in the Europa League. I'm not using that as an excuse for how shite Spurs are but I think it is an advantage over other teams who have had to participate in that competition. I'm rather hoping we finish 8th this season.
  14. I'm talking about Woolwich Wanderers, the club they call the Arsenal. Going back to SJ's thing about Reyes getting roughed up. He couldn't hack British football. He'd go over with a gust of wind. He was an easy target. It's no wonder he soon went back to Spain. They've been plenty of Arsenal players over the years who could cut it rough if they wanted to.
  15. 20 minutes before the game is a reasonable time.
  16. He's talking about the Wanderers, Alan.
  17. Not in a million years M'Lady.
  18. I hate Arsenal. They're a very well run club. They have faith in their manager, who is exceptional. Every season he delivers. They have a massive stadium bought and paid for without slipping down the league. They may not have won anything for a while but every damn season they finish above Spurs and qualify for the Champions League and at the same time play very attractive football. I cannot accuse them of being the boring boring Arsenal of old, which is exactly what they were before Arsene Wenger. I've enormous respect for him as a manager. He's one of the best. I hate his guts. My team, Tottenham Hotspur on the other hand promise so much and every season or two chop and change managers and get nowhere. They nearly always let you down. As a lifelong supporter of Spurs, it's the hope that kills us. Good performance from the boys tonight though. Another season, another false dawn. Same old same old. Here's Tom with the weather.
  19. Or put an extra zero on the payment.

  21. Do we really need two threads on the same subject?
  22. Yeah, ^ that statement is utter bollocks. I have never ever ever needed to shout above plane noise in East Dulwich or anywhere come to think of it. You sir, are talking out of your arse.
  23. Some people hear voices in their head, others it would seem, hear aeroplanes.
