  1. Arf! Was gonna say something similar, Seabag. So, how long did it last Fox? I certainly don't remember the shop. Couldn't have been long.
  2. Which begs the question did the 'wally with a brolly' sack himself?
  3. He'll be a tough act to follow no matter who eventually takes over from him when he finally does call it a day. All these idiots calling for him to go know nothing about football or management for that matter.
  4. Actually, Lamela is finally coming good and he's still only 23 and learning his trade so plenty of scope for him to get better and at ?26.5 million he could still prove to be very good value for money. Francis was indeed the first million pound player and what Clough did at Forest is still unmatchable. If I wasn't a Spurs fan I'd be cheering Leicester on to win the league.
  5. Ozil and Sanchez were signed for a combined cost ?77.5m. Not exactly chickens feed is it.
  6. I think The Montpelier and The White Horse in Peckham are rugby free zones. The Clock House is probably another one.
  7. Leicester aside, what I'm incredulous about this season is the (mostly) nouveau Arsenal fans and "celebrities" like Piers Moron and their sense of entitlement, complaining about Arsene Wenger, saying he should go. I find it unbelievable after all the stability and success he's brought them down the years. Just because they haven't won the Premiership for over a decade. Try being a Spurs fan or a Leicester fan, come to think of it. Obviously, I'm not including our own Parkdrive or Lady Gooner in this assessment but I'd be interested to hear what they think about it.
  8. If this season is anything to go by you're probably right. This one has been particularly unpredictable. Unlike any other I can remember.
  9. I revised my predictions back in January. Jah Lush Wrote: > End of season prediction > Top four > > Arsenal > Spurs > Leicester > Man City > > Relegated > > Villa > Sunderland > Norwich.
  10. Anyone else having visions of Louisa as Fanny Craddock?
  11. How much for kedgeree?
  12. Last two posts - spot on.

Have you ever even been there? I first went to game there as a kid back in the 60s so I'm hardly a fecking hipster.
  14. Back up to fourth after a much needed win last night. Roll on Saturday for another three points and we could be right back in the mix.

Newcastle are only considered big because of the bums on seats at home games.
  16. Yeah, last time being back in the 1927. We've won far more trophies and were the first to do the double last century. First British club to win a major European trophy... blah blah blah. Our history is far superior. Jeez, call yourself a Spurs fan.
  17. I've a couple of relations who live in Creepy Crawley and a friend who grew up there. It's not a place I've ever visited often and I couldn't possibly tell you what's it like. Unless you grew up there who would? I suspect this is another one of Lou's wind-up gentrification posts. Those flats look shit by the way. Where's next Lou, Thornton Heath, Norbury? A case of inverted snobbery I reckon.

You're forgetting our glorious history. Of course we're a great club. Far more successful than Newcastle. COYS!
  19. Oi Titch. Newcastle have never won the League Cup. Their last 'major' trophy was the Fairs Cup in 1969.
  20. Steve McLaren's available. ;-)
  21. So he is. I must be getting old, the memory's going.
  22. Sounds like someone left the gas on. Lit a match and BOOM!
  23. Beat me to it Quids. I think Maureen would be a very expensive disaster for Man Utd. Carlo Ancelotti would be a much better idea in my opinion.
