  1. Funnily enough, I saw Liz Hurley quiet recently and I couldn't help thinking that she looked like a retired brickie from Penge. Is she a pre-op trannie do you think?
  2. I'm just a boy who can't say "no". So, I say "yes" to most things when quite often I'd have rather said no. For instance, yes, let's got to the pub, yes, what are you having?, yes, I'd love another drink, yes, yes, I'd love another drink (repeat ad nauseum) yes, let's call it in, yes, let's stay up all night and get shitfaced, yes, let's go to bed (at last). Lastly, have you got work in the morning? "Yes, unfortunately."
  3. Great result for Spurs last night. I'm very pleased with our performance. Paul Robinson made a couple of superb saves to keep his second clean sheet in a row and his confidence is definitely returning. Overall we were the better team even though we were down to ten men after 20 minutes after another very poor refereeing decision. I thought Arsenal's young squad were excellent in their grit and determination to pick up a win at Blackburn too and I want them in the semis please and Arsene Wenger can pick who he likes. Having said that I think our recent improvement despite quite a few injuries in the squad can be measured by our performance against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this coming weekend, which I feel will be our toughest game so far this season.
  4. Excellent post Sean and probably the longest in EDF history.
  5. Another rarity from Keith live at the Kilburn State long before he got his Hampsteads fixed. Be Sure The One You Need
  6. Some of the regulars in the CPT call it the Crystal, but then it does have CPT on it's frontage.
  7. She'll be as rampant as Abi Titmus. Next.... Where are the Christmas lights On Lordship Lane?
  8. Hurrah! Well done Georgia.
  9. Good points there EDOldie and again I'm inclined to agree with you.
  10. Explain your TLAs Brendan for I have no idea what you're on about.
  11. For the most part I'm inclined to agree with your Orwellian view of things EDOldie but when people start spouting ignorant racist and homophobic views, not that this is the case in point here, then that is an entirely different matter.

  13. The Crown & Greyhound has always been known as the Dog. I've been going in there since I was 15.
  14. I grew up in Pickwick Road and indeed Dickens did drink everywhere and another place was the Grove House Tavern on Camberwell Grove which is mentioned in Tales of Two Cities but under a different name.
  15. FHT Forest Hill Tavern. Kel. I hope so Lozzyloz but it would be hard to top that wouldn't it. I could have a word with Duncan & Nikki in the Dog. I'm sure they'd put something out. I don't think we'd go hungry, but then we're there to drink aren't we?
  16. It's Keith Richards 64th birthday today and seeing as he is a national treasure and a hero of mine I felt the need to put this up. This isn't what you'd normally hear from him, just Keith and an old piano, doing some nice Hoagy Carmichael with cool pictures too. Happy Birthday Keith. The Nearness Of You/Sing Me Back Home
  17. It just goes to show how far behind the times the suits at the BBC are. They've been perfectly happy enough to play it up until now 20 years after it's original release. Even the founder of the Gay Rights Group Outrage Peter Tatchell was quoted yesterday as saying: "I can't see most gay people being offended by this." And when you put it into the context of what the song is about it really is bloody stupid of them.
  18. KalamityKel Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > impressive? impressive?!! To whom? People who like lager, not that it's my drink of choice but there must be at least a choice of ten different lagers on tap. A pretty good wine list too and plenty of real ale. Anyway, I don't see many people complaining on here. See for yourself. The Dog
  19. Tottenham finally got their first away win of the season at the weekend at Portsmouth and blimey a clean sheet too! Now we're up against Man City tonight who haven't lost at home yet in the quarter-final of the League Cup and although we beat them a couple of weeks ago at White Hart Lane tonight could be a little more difficult. Oh! and we're away to the Gooners at the weekend...even more bloody difficult. I watched the not so "Super Sunday" from the bar in the CPT with my Liverpool daft niece whose vocal encouragement of the Reds could probably be heard in the Castle up the road to the bemusement of a few others around us. At least it was more entertaining than the football on offer.
  20. KalamityKel Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Shame there selection of beer is rather limited :| Stuff and bloody nonsense. They have more than the Plough, who are owned by the same company. They always have at least three or four different real ales on everyday. And, if it's lager you're looking for the list is very impressive.
  21. For you maybe and for others maybe not. It's certainly one place the Forum Drinks hasn't been to yet.
  22. I had to post this as I've had the tune in my head all day especially the lyric:- "I've been up all night again party time wasting it's so much fun". And I haven't heard it in years and I've lost my copy of the album and it's a bloody great song. Roxy Music - Mother Of Pearl
  23. I've been up all night again party time wasting is so much fun
  24. The Dog (Crown & Greyhound) Dulwich Village.
  25. I think we should give the Dog a whirl. Let's go posh in SE21.
