  1. Yeah! A complete contrast in styles but we'll see if it happens and I hope it does.
  2. Good afternoon, just popped in for a group hug and little drinkypoo and you can put those smelly socks away because I've some of the finest Armagnac known to mankind. Anyone want a slurp?
  3. Err..it's the Half Moon. When I went there as a youngster it was the Brixton & District Boxing Club that was run upstairs above the pub. Never been fitter than in those days. Anyway, all ages can go. I friend of mine still does to keep in shape and indeed, yes it is run by the McKenzie brothers Duke and Clinton.
  4. Stay as long as you like. You're most welcome. I think the whole idea of this thread is very silly indeed. It encourages snobbery and division. Now..group hug everyone.
  5. Move back to Scotland dear? No dear, you do dear, certainly not dear. Your patronage is most valuable to everyone in East Dulwich and how very dare anyone who says it isn't.
  6. I am very much so. Used to box above the Half Moon in Herne Hill when I was lad but unfortunately I missed it. Terrific result for Hatton. Let's hope he gets to bash up Floyd Mayweather next.
  7. Which is a bit silly as we're all in it together maaan!
  8. Starts singing in a drunken Elvis sort of way "Blue Moon, you saw me standing alone." Err, sorry must be the weather of something. But, yes you're right it has been a bit mad the last couple of days.
  9. Tell that to Thierry Henry. I'm sure he'll disagree.
  10. Keef and Brendan. See me after school. And in the meantime 200 lines. I must not write Arse on the Forum.
  11. That's ok. I agree mostly with what you've said there. I too have very eclectic tastes. There isn't much I don't like but I do rather draw the line at heavy metal apart from one or two things like Motorhead's Ace Of Spades...genius.
  12. Actually it was only the one track but now you've said coffee table/relax music I'm glad I didn't have to sit through the rest of it. I may have ended up hurling out of the window. Cheers!:)-D
  13. And this is what you find
  14. Hello Mockney, I got a promo CD of hers last year called Chelsea Burns, really liked it. Good to hear some more. Nice to have met you, albeit briefly last Saturday by the way.

Hmm, yes, well you never know who you might meet up there Asset. I expect the local chapter of Hells Grannies dine in Le Moulin and fight in the Plough.>:D

Asset darling, Le Moulin is up by the Plough on the same side of the road. Le Piat D'or..yuk. How about a nice bottle of Margeaux?:))

Hmmmm....How long before this gets lounged?
  18. Wha'ppen Spadetownboy, you probably floated back up the road I should think. I lived there way before the paranoia, schizoprenia inducing skunk came on the scene and if I was lucky I usually got a little Sensimillia with my Red Stripes. Proper sensible herb. The Weed of Wisdom.>:D

Wow! It certainly has got a little heated in here hasn't it. Where's the love people. Call me an old hippy but whatever happened to peace and love and unity. Anyway, I can't really comment on how good or bad Le Moulin is as I haven't been there since it first opened. I have a couple of friends who have been in there though and they seem to think it's rather good but that's their opinion and not mine.

Louisa, you're unbelievable. I bet you're a right little ray of sunshine.

Well, I haven't seen her post on here before so I don't think she'd be "bandwagon jumping." That's a bit of a sorry excuse. You'll just have to take her word for it.

I find you're insinuations about susyp's post rather offensive Louisa, why don't you just come out with it and call her a liar.
  23. I went to the last one and I certainly didn't see any chavs and certainly no poshos, just a nice bunch of friendly people.

I certainly do. I lived right opposite in Quorn Rd at the end of the 80s and used to nip in there all the time at two or three in the morning for a little bit of gear and half dozen Red Stripes.
  25. I don't miss anything. I think East Dulwich is better now than it's ever been. The past may seem a nice place to visit but you wouldn't want to live there.
