  4. To be fair to Mr Nesbitt and whatever your opinions of him as an actor, have any of you actually met the man?
  5. In the current weather conditions they are all crap unless you have an umbrella!

  7. Jenny, your crass inverted snobbery and general observations and assumpions stink to high heaven of rank hypocracy. Enjoy yourself in Swindon...don't come back.

Fat lot of good it did him though...(Allan Carr that is), the book may have enhanced his bank account quite considerably, but he still died of cancer.
  9. hoping to rid themselves of former flaws
  10. Yes, Citizen that's right, Brixton Beach reopens this week. No more Woolwich...oh boo hoo.
  11. What Kate Lawler or Lidl? Sorry this is veering off thread. Right! Woolich closing down...bah!
  12. Ha ha ha...Kate Lawler! the chav queen of Beckenham, or should that read the slagheap of Beckhenham...you choose. And by the way what the hell is a Lidl anyway, damned if I know.

Only small parts of it Louisa, when was the last time you went up the High Street? They still have a few pubs like the old Plough and Forresters yobs getting lairy, fist fights at closing time etc etc.
  14. So the old Plough would have been right up your street then Bleep. I think to be fair it's still early days yet for the "new" Plough. You can't expect things to change overnight just because a pub has had a refit but time will tell and good luck to the people running it.
  15. Yeah me too, especially with the way the weather's been over here recently.
  16. Ah! Cookie, pure genius. Pet Shop Boy made a whole career out of that track. Cheers Ben.>:D
  17. bawdy-nan Wrote: > > Was a bit lairy in the garden. Not you I hope bawdy-nan, or was it some of the loud neanderthal oiks who used The Plough previous to it's recent makeover already pining for the old days?
  18. Hmmm, the decor looks a little dodgy but chairs look like they have come from an old people's home. Not impressed, will have to have a closer inspection.
  19. Well, the way the weather is at the moment you'll be lucky to get seven minutes.
  20. Half a cow? Is that a rack of ribs and then you ride the rest home Brendan?:)
  21. You've made a good point there Mockney about the Dog's popularity on a Sunday lunchtime. It's probably the one day that I tend to avoid it, or I'll pop in later on when all the families with kids who have gone there to eat have buggered off back home and I can get some elbow room at the bar and get the drinks in.
  22. Oh! come on Ant the food in the Dog's not that bad. It's certainly improved from a few years back when Barney and his Mrs were running the place but then again I only go to the pub to drink because that's what they are primarily there for, if I want to eat out I'll go to a restaurant. Still, I may well pop in and try out the "new" Plough soon enough and will report back.
  23. *Wakes up from stoned, dreamy slumbers, almost choking half to death on moth that has flown into mouth from Keef's wallet. Recovers quickly, soothes throat with coffee and fags, realises am late for work again and makes a dash for the door.*
  24. Non-smokers die every day.
  25. *Rolls another and thinks "blimey I'm bit stoned maaan and have now got a serious attack of the munchies. Sends out for pizzas, and peruses the Quiet Room's record collection before finally settling on Lee "Scratch" Perry's Roast Fish, Corn Bread and Collie Weed. Seems rather Apt. Starts skanking round the room with blissful smile on face.*
