  1. If you're looking for 'gentrified' bins, Artful, the ones outside the Co-0p and Si Mangia on Forest Hill Road were rather artistically painted in floral designs and colours last summer to make them more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I doubt it has stopped them giving off a vile stench but ooh they do look much nicer now.

I think you'll find that Prosecco is the chosen choice of the good ladies of East Dulwich Jezza, though who's to say that this Aperol Spritz may take on over here now that you've mentioned it.

  4. FFS! You're supposed to be on holiday. Try enjoying it by doing something other than posting on here.
  5. Standard ????. And Otta you know you're more than welcome.

I used to have a photograph of it taken in 1911 and it had certainly been going for a while then. It had Walter. W Collison above the door. Mr Collison also owned The Magdala around the same time and is my mate's grandfather or great grand father. Here's the picture. http://i1369.photobucket.com/albums/ag237/jahlushhead/Cherry%20Tree_zpsmqyxhkg3.png

Got a letter from BT Sport today and I don't have to pay another fiver. All the European stuff will be added to my current package at no extra cost. Woo!

Didn't last long did it. For your own sake stop posting on here and enjoy yourself while you're away instead of staring into your iPod.
  10. About another seven or eight to go by my reckoning.

  12. It's looking seriously nice out the back of The Lordship right now. I wouldn't mind giving that a whirl myself seeing as I haven't eaten there yet.

I think he's a decent player to be clear but not absolutely convinced last season wasn't a bit of a flash in the pan? The kid needs a break. He's young and still got an awful lot to learn. I wouldn't say I was optimistic. At Spurs we can't afford to be. All depends on who we get in and out of the squad. We shipped in an awful lot of goals last season so the defence needs sorting out. If we can get a decent spine through side then our chances of winning something will improve vastly but I'm not holding my breath.

Me too so I shan't be looking at this thread anymore.

I'm so bored of it I'm not even going to bother to read the article
  18. That's a bit rich coming Julie Burchill.
  19. No. That was another pub 100 yards around the corner.
  20. Bloody shame. I loved it in there. Used have plenty of lock-ins. I reckon it closed around the end of the 80s. Sadly, I can't find any old pix of it, only the refurb into flats.
  21. I'm talking about 1980/81 when I was a regular. Lovely West Indian fella called Alvin used to run it. His missus, a white English woman, can't remember her name, used to make lovely homemade Jamaican patties and serve 'em behind the bar. Had a great jukebox, dart board and pool tables upstairs. There was always half a dozen good pumps of real ale too. Old Peculiar and Fullers ESB were what I used to drink in there then. Great pub. Sadly, long gone I fear.
  22. Does anyone remember the Sailor Prince?
  23. I shall be walking down to ASDA on Rye Lane for my bargains in future. The stroll down there will do me good anyway.
  24. Had several pints of Timothy Taylor's Landlord earlier. I was going to hit the vino with dinner but I think I've had an elegant sufficiency already.
  25. That's reet classy.
