There was a Ray who drank in the Palmie who was commonly known as Razors, not, I think because he was handy with a cut throat but because he rarely shaved. He was also referred to sometimes as the 'old man'. I would on occasion score a bit of puff off him. Nice fella.

Ray, I know has definitely passed. I also remember Ted ending up regularly on that bench and in bad shape. I can't imagine him being alive now. He was old even then. I should think he's long gone too. And Keith, the manager at that time passed last year.

I remember Ted, nice fella but a hopeless barman. Always pissed. I've forgotten his brother's name (possibly Ray, loved jazz) but I'm pretty certain they're both six feet under.

Fox And Lou. You're forgetting I was there too. Plenty of fights in the Uplands, EDT, Foresters, Cherry Tree and of course The Mag. And I remember some really nasty ones, glasses, blades and plenty of blood spilt. Not nice. You're romanticising of the past is complete and utter bollocks.
