  1. It's Tony's pub and I guess he can do what he likes and if that's slurping lager on his perch at the bar with his family and friends whilst the staff beaver away then so be it. It's quite simple really. You can choose to go there or not go there. Personally speaking I mostly choose not to.
  2. Dear Ms Blueberry, Shabby chic is all the rage these days is it not? I think it blends in rather well. The old lady who lives there is bang on trend. Gawd bless her.
  3. Good spot. I'm going in.
  4. In my current financial plight it most certainly will.

Cheque's in the post.
  7. Yep! Better up my dosage.
  8. I was alluding to your three-nil prediction.
  9. What Alan said and shouldn't you be rejoicing in your victory rather than having a go at your rivals? Now, here's a thing you won't see too much of - a Spurs fan praising the Arsenal - I thought your team did yourselves proud yesterday. It's refreshing that a top club like Arsenal take the FA Cup seriously, it has not been forgotten in some quarters that Man United once opted out of the competition to pursue the World Club Championship and were knocked out early against lowly opposition this season. I'd like to congratulate Arsene Wenger on his six triumphs in the competition, a feat that I very much doubt will be equalled by many others and one in the eye for those so-called football fans, many of whom who support the club, that his time was up (yourself included PD, if I recall correctly). And what a goal from Sanchez, a magnificent strike worthy of winning such a prestigious competition or any other come to think of it. It has to be said though that Aston Villa apart from not turning up, simply weren't good enough. Anyway, congratulations and enjoy your gloating, especially at work on Monday. *Nurse, the screens please*
  10. I shall miss Iceland and all its bargains and the friendly staff too. When you're short of a few bob and you need to stock up on essentials Iceland has always been a good place to go to where your pounds can stretch that bit further. Not everyone in East Dulwich is loaded and I'm sure I'm not the only one who shall miss the convenience of it being there on Lordship Lane.
  11. So, Lady G, did you curse Giroud when he tapped in the fourth? ;-)

You're way off the mark there. What a dystopian nightmare! Pubs are, or certainly should be, the social hub of the community and are for imbibing and generally having fun, not 'working' in, taking up space from drinkers and merry makers alike.
  13. Any wine produced by Blossom Hill is rank in my opinion.
  14. Street cred in ED? Ha ha ha ha! You're having a giraffe. The demographic has changed so much in the local bars that I'm reminded of this sketch whenever I venture out these days.
  15. It puzzles me why anyone would want to 'work from home' in a coffee shop rather than work from home.
  16. Last season Liverpool did a Spurs. Bought nine players, most of whom turned out to be flops. It can take time for young foreign players to settle, old ones too in some cases and some that never will and get shipped back out again as will be the case at WHL. At Spurs it was Baldini and Levy's fault in paying for seven players most of whom have turned out to be duds. At Liverpool the buck stops with Brendan Rodgers. I think he should be given another season but with someone like Jurgen Klopp available it must be tempting for the owners to pull the trap door on him. * * * Just seen that West Ham have won place in the Europa League via the fair play rules. Ha! Apart from a new manager you'll need to buy double the amount of players you were already thinking of buying just to cope with the extra games. Your season starts 37 days time so good luck with that.
  17. I'd like to add my thanks to you too RD.
  18. Take my advice. Never leave the house on a Bank Holiday weekend. Stock up with provisions and bed in for the long haul because believe me anywhere you go will be full of cunts. NB: And presumably now that everyone has gone back to work it is safe enough now for layabouts like me to venture out and about.

  20. Arse 4 Villains 1.
  21. Feck! That's what I was going for. I can't see Villa winning. Should I post privately or on here seeing as Lady G has posted her prediction already?
  22. They split up. Amicably I believe.
  23. Well done to those who finished above me but with the most correct outcomes and the least incorrect I feel I've won the moral victory.
  24. You Irons are still heartbroken aren't you.
