  1. I can guarantee that any conversation with these youngsters would not end well. If they are behaving as reported (threatening a pregnant lady etc). The pictures are not voyeuristic - this strikes me as someone at the end of their tether trying to workout how to deal with a bunch of youngsters behaving badly And disturbing Their neighbourhood. If they are mucking about in the early hours then that is just not on. Not interested in their backgrounds - the little blighters should be home in bed. If they are asleep at dawn then ideally the police should scoop them up and their parents collect them from the station with a bit of a lecture. Right now tho not likely to happen.
  2. Yes JohnL I was wondering about that as well - it seems to clash with data protection thing (not meant to retain any data about customers?)
  3. All I know is that the shops in dulwich village are very worried about the impact on their businesses - added onto the recent challenging shutdown.
  4. I think it is because he was a doctor so medical link? Very interesting sign on railings in new cross about him. Well worth commemorating. Yes good old ?ennery? would be a great choice for a sports centre ? Actually this would be great opportunity to celebrate all those Southwark peeps who had succeeded in their chosen field, coming from probably rather humble backgrounds.
  5. I just wish the council would stop their endless twiddling and faffing. I suspect most of those planning these cock ups don?t live here but have a ?vision? - their costly consultations are clearly skewed and twisted to meet their needs. ?37% were in favour however we feel this is enough to justify implementing anyway and reviewing after 10 years? kind of approach. They cocked up the dulwich village junction (at what cost I would love to know). The cpz is another example of twisting figures. Sick to death of faceless bureaucrats pushing through their nonsense.
  6. Pear spring was a lovely shop next to William rose. What a shame - I wish them the very best. Cannot bear people who decide something is not worth considering because it has not hit their radar.these businesses have been paying rent, rates, vat, Nat ins etc - the country will lose valuable revenue.
  7. Loved jay raynor on bbc podcast - fortunately with fi and Jane - my go to podcast whilst in the queue for sainsbos
  8. there has been a real spate of these lately - really awful - especially as more people are wanting to cycle (probably the market forces behind these thefts) really hope everyone gets them back or some insurance payout.
  9. I think the blatant disregard of The govt recommendations by a govt advisor killed off people?s perceptions as to how much we needed to socially distance. There was a clear sea change after that fiasco.
  10. Feed em - they will move on soon enough
  11. The problem is that they will not listen or take into account residents point of view. Elsie road had extensive ?consults? with a clip board holding official who totally disregarded what was highlighted and discussed. They have a plan which is pushed thru no matter what. Do not expect Southwark council to give a fig about our input.
  12. The introduction of yellow lines clears the road and makes people drive faster. If you have to slow down to safely pass other cars in my mind that is far better than cars zooming down widened roads.
  13. Oh god what a nightmare
  14. And the long stretches of double yellows across drives have appeared
  15. Seems to have been calm and measured.
  16. Being completely nosey but intrigued by the helicopter going round and round - is it checking out the rye?
  17. If there is a legal crowdfunding thing keen to be kept in the loop
  18. And another - he has done several jobs for us - highly recommend
  19. This is all horrific - imagine what else these people will do - ?the neighbours cats were annoying us so we shot it?. There are too many things about this that are wholly wrong and something should be done to hold them to account- it?s bloody wildlife ffs. Currently flocks birds are eating the cherries in my tree - do I shoot/poison them as they are annoying? No we allow wildlife to live alongside us. Please call the police on these people as a matter of urgency
  20. perhaps a day trip to brighton would give you an idea if you could see or not?
  21. OMG how awful - so does this mean there are some pups left to fend for themselves. Lets hope your neighbours are suitably charged. God this has made me sad.
  22. Someone forgot that they had cycled to the park..... Black and Red Canondale Bike doubt we will see it again but worth a punt edited to say it has been located......
  23. No bats or stag beetles yet....
  24. Seen the daily mail headline?
