Van Der Graaf Generator once gave the Millwall Team a lift back home when their coach broke down Mike... Not many people know that...

Procol Harum's A Whiter Shade Of Pale has now been officially recognised as the most played song in public places over the past 75 years. The track beat Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody to the top spot, according to The People's Chart, which was compiled by music licensing company PPL to mark its 75th birthday and aired on Radio 2 yesterday. Whats the connection between these 2 Songs Music affici..affiseen..afficiseen..followers?

Huguenot Wrote: Perhaps they could hold their events in fields where there's nothing to trash? Please keep them well away from our green and very pleasant fields! Loss of hedgerows has been identified as a factor in the decline of many plant and animal species traditionally associated with farmland. Reasons for hedge loss include changes in farming practices, development, damage caused by straw and stubble burning , spray drift, neglect and indiscriminate trimming. The last thing that we need is the loss of further hedgerows because of the actions of some of these Guys.....:)

US music producer Phil Spector has been convicted of murdering actress Lana Clarkson, after a five-month retrial. The 68-year-old faces between 15 years and life in prison. He had pleaded not guilty to the second degree murder of 40-year-old Ms Clarkson, who was shot in his home. He tried to drown out her screams but, sadly, for him, the Wall Of Sound technique did not work this time, Mikecg...

I assumed it was a "new, improved progressive" rule that only "locals" could contribute there!

One moment I was posting on there and the next day, for NO apparent reason it said that I could not. I thought it was pathetic and did not want to lower myself to the level where I disputed it as no explanation or E-Mail was sent. Frankly seems like someone has made themselves busy to justify their existence as "Moderator" quite frankly. To my knowledge I was not in any dispute at all and many threads that could easily be lounged are not which I might like to contribute to. Lets continue with this one then, shall we?:))

bigbadwolf Wrote: Good choice BBW! Probably my "5" as well... *Bob*....Esoterically funny. Ted Max...Banker Choice as he has "cross-appeal" humour thats consistently witty... HonaloochieB...A very vivid, fertile imagination and a strong contender... Dulwichmum...Experienced campaigner, deserving of the nomination.. TLS....A fair last inclusion as this lad has improved considerably after a frankly uninspiring, ominous introduction... So, in essence, the same quintet for me with Max just edging out Hon-"The Looch" by a Short-Head. > > Over to you.

Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Good call TLS - Sadly Not Mick! I stand to be corrected but I'm pretty sure I put "Angel and Jim" when I wrote this at 6.20 but, for a joke, I edited this to read "Kenny and Chad" at 10.16 (as they were betting 98% round the front 2 i.e. Odds of 1/2 and 9/4 respectively!) and the pair were beat! I assumed that I would lose as I had laid both and put in a "Lay" of 2.1 against Angel and let The Young Lady monopolise the Computer and went to bed. When I awoke I couldn't believe neither had Won but that "2.1 Lay" was to turn Angel into a "Taker" so all 3 Players made me finish even, which I would have settled for as I went with Jim F. and then Phil M. and they both faded, as you know.

Well Boy George informed us how to sell a contradiction in "Karma Charmeleon" but I can't say I'm totally sold on this one, I have to say. Thought Parky was out of order with his Jade's comments but I'll forgive him making one more mistake than The Queen has made in their respective lifetimes...;-)
