  3. Brendan: The agenda are variously: calling for the protection of people?s savings and pensions and putting a stop to exploitative practices in financial services, calling for political action on the use of fossil fuels, calling for an end to military action oversees and calling for domestic policies of job creation and social stability. Well Said.

For the first time ever a Man said to me in the street "Are you Semi-Retired?" when I bumped into my old Boss last Friday and yesterday the Father of a neighbour asked me "Are you retired?"....there's me with a 30-year-old g/f in the Car wearing sexy shorts (take my word for that one) and one of my 16 hooded tops..... p.s Thats ME waering the sexy shorts..all right both of us then... 15. If someone is urgently trying to by-pass the main queue by using the paying-in machine, then, most likely, they will be really peeved with any undue and unnecessary delay.
  16. Spirit, sorry for your horrid experience and I know its not want you want to hear but I have to say Huguenot's comments and observations seem relevant. There is no excuse for his rude behaviour but he was probably totally pissed off with HSBC having just one Teller ( I closed my a/c with Midland/HSBC after 35 years recently), "perceived" you using the top as a desk and may have, understandable (wrongly) thought you were texting, as well!.... As for the Staff they cannot say this to you but they well have thought the same so adopted a "Neutral" stance, particularly as most people do NOT want "to get involved"... In my local HSBC they bricked up one of the 3 positions for a Teller to use and sent the queues out into the street with all its implications for security. You also got wet in the winter as an added bonus and then their representative came on TV and said that they "never" have queues! So, two sides to this, I feel but I hope you feel better in days to come and put this behind you. Make a complaint but its 100/1 that you will receive satisfaction from this mob...
  17. giggirl, when even Loochie's Star slips from its ascendency then its time for all of us to get our coats, hail a taxi, and slip away quietly.....

  20. Travelling to and from New Cross, last night from The Burbs to watch Millwall, I met many Guys from The Elephant and Castle, Walworth Road and Bermondsey... "Brandon Estate/ Aylesbury/ Aylesbury (again)/ Webber Street / Heygate/ Walworth Road x 2 " etc and then they all went back to Bexley, Welling, Crayford and Dartford....
  21. Interesting Mick that I decided to use Public Transport to and from Millwall tonight. Guy I was chatting with worked for a Law Firm and was very moderate yet seemed to relish the potential events to morrow as he feels The Banks have shafted us for a long period and he reckons its pay-back time tomorrow.
  22. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Are you hitting the streets TLS? Sadly not as I have a Table Tennis Match to attend but, maybe, its time for a "lil" revolution...::o
  23. Going to be a long day, one suspects.
  24. Steve almost certainly posted this in good faith as a warning to others.
  25. I have a feeling that people will use the opportunity in a few hours to let The Banks know exactly what they think of them..
