I thought Southwark were descoping this proposal .Is it now rescoped ? -
I don't pretend to understand this but is it this scam "The scam is known as "brushing." An online seller ? usually overseas ? purchases their own products through fake buyer accounts they've created. The products are shipped to a real address. Then, the seller writes a positive review of their items from the fake buyer account".

Alice - ibuprofen reduces inflamation as well as pain so might be more effective than paracetamol. Though it's more of an irritant to the gut and not everyone should take it . Cold compresses better than freeze spray . You could try alternating with hot .I think the science is that heat increases blood supply to affected area and cold reduces inflamation . Good luck ,back pain is so all pervasive.

Does one get referred by GP ? Or walk into Specsavers/Boots ? I expect I'm old fashioned and missguided by I'd rather go to a non contracted out NHS clinic . If that exists . Something has to be done ,I'm running out of variations on "say that again"/"what" etc and the use of the generic nod and "yes" .

Is the closure of Rye Lane comparable ? It was already more or less closed to all vehicles except buses . It disadvantages the many shoppers who rely on buses and the retail outlets who have already taken a hit from Covid . And I've not found it helpful for social distancing as walking in the road amongst bikes ,scooters, skate boards etc rather scary .Though I guess this might change . -
looking for somewhere lovely to have a special birthday meal ,a beautiful outdoor terrace . Don't want to drive more than about 20 mins . I'm sure no one else in current times will be wanting to sit outside in a peaceful countryside/like setting . Joke . Anyone any ideas ? Don't suppose Bel Air is doing meals on their terraces ?

James - I assume,as you refer to it ,that you have some familiarity with the hierarchy of roads .Do those links give guidance as to a hierarchy for the priority for people living on roads for clean air ? -

rahrah I think you frequently make good points and this isn't directed at you but everyone please can we stop referring to "residential " streets .It implies some sort of hierarchy where "residential streets " should have priority when considering vehicle movement. I appreciate that roads vary in width and how many bends they have ( reducing the need to introduce more measures to slow traffic) but people also live and suffer from pollution on wider straighter roads that carry buses . -

Just back from our vets in Herne Hill and the traffic on East Dulwich Grove and through the village was dreadful ,stationary . Hope it's not like that during school hours as the pollution for DVIS and JAGS will be terrible . -

I would recommend Dulwich Dental Clinic http://dulwichdental.co.uk/. Chris Tremaine is amazing ,and believe me with my wide experience of dentists ,I'm well placed to make the assertion . -
Rye lane walk & cycle only from 6/7

Mrs D the buses stop at Nigel Road ( other side to the Tesco Express ) and then divert down Copeland Road which is more or less parallel to Rye Lane . They do not stop near the station ,you need to walk down from the Nigel Road stop .It's the same route used during the works last year when they dug up the road in Rye Lane . -

redpost you do realise that carers visting lots of clients have priorities such as getting people up in the morning ,to bed in the evening ,toiletting ,prompting food and medecine intake ?Trying to superimpose an optimised geographical route misses the point of their work .IME few drive anyway . -

"Why would it have a negative impact? you can't park on rye lane anyway, although quite a lot ignore this and therefore endanger cyclists and pedestrians plus delay buses. There is parking at morrisons, the back of ASDA and quite a few pay and displays less than 100m away. People will probably linger and shop longer now there is less traffic." The parking behind Asda is very limited ,that at Morrisons is often at capacity and both are time limited and unless you rush allow only a supermarket shop and not a supermarket shop plus visits to mighty pound ,one below ,Khans etc .The Choumert Rd pay and display car park is fine except that it costs money ,as does the limited meter parking . And tiddles no ,no buses to near the station . You'll have to factor in an extra 10 mins to run down the road from Nigel Road and the East Duwich direction . I and many others travel by bus to shop in Peckham ,weekly and other bus passes mean it's not an additional cost to use the shopping facilities. It helps when you have shopping to have a bus stop near the shops .There are now no bus stops from Nigel Road to the Aylsham Centre .Travelling back from Peckham Rye ( laden with shopping ) is means catching a bus from opposite Burger King on Peckham Road or the back of Morrisons or walking back up to Nigel Road . -

I agree about the impact on the shops Sidhue - the staff in couple I visited yesterday were very glum . I can't remember the configuration of the posts in the blockade near Primark ,maybe the posts were only on one side ,maybe to allow construction traffic .I hadn't thought about that . -

"During lockdown, there was a massive increase in walking and cycling - now a lot of that was cos there was simply nothing else to do so people that would normally have gone to the gym switched to walking and cycling. But a fair chunk of it was also families, kids, people who would never normally be on a bike because the roads are too hostile. And key workers found it invaluable, even if there was a spike in bike thefts from outside hospitals." some fair points here but it needs to be remembered that there was a drop in vehicle movements due to a massive increase in working from home, people staying indoors ,reduced bus services . people do now need to earn salaries and commute to work ,there may even be some who want to travel and visit friends and relatives . -

what's the thinking on a mirror for viewing what is behind ? Combined with a quick physical movement of looking over your shoulder .more of a visual cue for those behind that you are aware of them ,the real looking done in the mirror . I'm in same boat as mancity .

Wil72 - I'll carry on adding comments ,I hadn't realised that one could post more than once ,so thanks for highlighting that . But ....I don't think any amount of comments will influence decisions made by Southwark .Allowing us to comment is just a diversion ,window dressing ,a con . As I was memorably instructed at a public meeting re turning a school into an Academy "This is a consultation ,not a rolling ballot .You can't just vote for what you want ."
