  1. Here's the picture.
  2. Don't worry, Monica, it's only the snooty folk in Dovercourt Road who like to pretend they live in SE21.
  3. Is that wind up as in clockwork mechanism or a red elastic band dropped by a postie? The Peckham McDonalds is nearly in Bellenden Village, and Bellenden Village is nearly in East Dulwich, and you want more?
  4. Good news. 11 Dunstans Road sold at ?310k. Not much else sold though.
  5. "Upper East Side" is not my fault. I had a flat tire; I ran out of gas; I didn't have money for cab fare; an old friend came in from out of town; there was an earthquake; a terrible flood; locusts! It's not my fault.
  6. It seems that a large chunk of "Upper East Side" is without electricity.
  7. If the build quality really is so poor, what is the estimated year the block will need to be demolished?
  8. Thanks danrees, Have I got this right? Using your calculation with ?1150pcm rent at 7% interest gives a valuation of ?197k (a 40% reduction). These numbers are so confusing. MacRoban
  9. Does that mean you estimate that the ~sale~ price of a two bedroom flat has to drop to ?232k before the market starts moving again? MacRoban The optimist
  10. Face it. You're all getting old. EDF members are not the BeBo generation.
  11. I think it was Mamora Man who, in another thread, sagely advised that the only figures to be relied upon are the Land Registry ones (subject CGT and IHT fiddles). Unfortunately these have a time lag of 2-3 months. All else is vested interest propaganda.
  12. Has anyone considered that Davina Boutique has done accurate market research, got it right, and is confident that the business will be well-positioned for the East Dulwich of 18 months hence?
  13. Premises are too small for Morrisons business model?
  14. The premises, including the very large cellar, were being gutted today. Does anyone have an update?

    Keefs Band

Does the band have a CD for sale?
  16. Dunwich (USA) is home of the Whateleys.
  17. It's a reference to the Dunwich Horror
  18. Will anyone be closing their Bradford & Bingley account tomorrow morning?
  19. In a previous thread there was discussion of the railway bridge adjacent to Lordship Lane Station. This is a commuters' view coming back into East Dulwich.
  20. Not much information to go on: "Dog Kennel Hill" on reverse in pencil Artist did not sign it c1810 is an estimate The only clue, apart from the cottage, is the white building in the middle-ground which is possibly the old pre-1844 St Giles, Camberwell, which had a tower but no spire.
  21. Now where shall I park the car?
  22. [ ASCII(46) ] This small watercolour dates from c1810. I've always thought that this view looks towards Camberwell. In the absence of modern landmarks, and having regard to the idiosyncracies of the colourist, would anyone like to give a second opinion?
  23. Is this an insurance job?
