  1. there's really nothing going on.
  2. sorry - hard to tell when people are joking on here!
  3. what does that mean? started with? Are you suggesting a gradual improvement in the quality of our 'celebrities'? That's very rude. Some of the names above have lived here for a long time. I very much doubt Jason Statham has thought "ooh, east dulwich is on the up, I must move there".... There are many other reasons people live in an area. Who would be the ultimate celeb to watch out for in Sainsbury Dog Kennel Hill - so we know when ED has "arrived"?
  4. I'm amused by the comment that gay people don't gentrify anything. It's a bit of a tongue in cheek article but ED doesn't have gay bars - that's factual, but then ED isn't somewhere one would go to to go out out
  5. Haha, yes there is definitely a tone you can get across
  6. Kind regards or many thanks while subsequent ones might just get thanks Depends who it is. Lots of back and forth emails will end up with just my name and eventually just the message Yours Sincerely is for letters, not emails so ok if you?re sending an attachment.
  7. No, we?ve seen it in our street. No valid reason. Challenge the council.
  8. My comment was about councillors intervening in rail services. Do they have that power?
  9. If we?re talking about trains? how about reducing obscene profits from ticket prices? National rail travel is outrageously expensive.
  10. No, it means that journeys will be faster. You can find out when the bus is coming. City Mapper app has real time GPS. So you can to the bus stop at the right time.
  11. Well let?s hope the government sorts out funding and supporting our vital transport service. TFL are right to reduce number of buses, it means that journeys will be faster as less traffic. If one route is proposed to be cut and it will have consequences, you need to tell them.
  12. No, Nigello. It's not a step too far to protect wildlife. It's a step too far to expect that people walking their dogs can go anywhere they like. Dogs tend to have a chase instinct and not that many people can control their dogs as they should be able to. I'm all for a fenced off area. There are plenty of places I take my dog and keep away from the ponds. It's not hard at all.
  13. I agree. no need to dogs to be around the pond when there are babies
  14. have you contacted TFL and said what times are bottlenecks and need more buses?
  15. lots of options
  16. 14 minutes between buses is hardly unreasonable or so inconvenient that you cannot get where you need to be. Factually, fewer buses on the routes make the journeys quicker. You will know that TFL has had fewer customer journeys since lockdowns and - while picking up - they are subject to a Government funding deal. I think it is reasonable for the agreement to be reduced costs from (including) fewer buses - even is that is ONLY four an hour.
  17. 14 minutes - is that so unreasonable?
  18. Has anyone contacted the sean trust about relocating the female?
  19. It depends on how many sibling places are given and how many applicants live nearer than you. You can contact the school or Southwark to find out the furthest distance for the last year or so
  20. I am going to miss the forum for conversations such as this
  21. We really need to reduce unnecessary journeys. There are far too many cars on the roads and it's just people's behaviour and the belief that driving a car is a right.
  22. I?d just like a Greggs
  23. They are looking for volunteers to run it - it doesn't have to be the end - just someone who has the time and commitment
  24. I?m not looking for the usual varieties or I?d go to the Co op. Any recommendations for a good nursery?
