there's a tree on Dulwich Road which we would pass by every day - commonly called The Dragon Poo Tree - God only knows what it was that shat from on high but it was lethal.
There is little in place to enforce the crime of not picking up after your dog, unfortunately. Perhaps unless you see them in the act and you say something - but even then you're relying on their level of responsibility and caring... which I would imagine is lacking in the first place.
Really - it is a charity shop and as such should try and get as much value from the donations people give as possible. Take it as a given you won't expect the same level of clarity as you would in a retail shop and try and find the amusing side. After all - a book for 25p is a bargain - as is a book for a couple of quid.
I think you should increase the size of the fence to shut your neighbours out and pretend they don't exist. Any attempts on their part to threaten you or abuse you should be met firmly with the authorities. Or a visit.
Rather than just how annoying it is for you, perhaps you might consider it's actually not on to leave dogs outside in the cold. If this dog is still locked out come dark, please contact the police. It's the most common form of animal abuse.
You can't see them in town unless you have a ticket - the buildings are in the way (sorry, you probably know that!) We'll be local too...maybe see you there!
yes Sue - spelling mistake in my latin. I did indeed mean Arbore (being tree) :-) Flavia was sitting under the tree. Her friend was playing with the wolf.
DD that's not very nice. We just get things people would use but little things - kids might get scented pens or pretty sets of beads etc... Just inexpensive niceness. Adults would probably get nice choccies or similar
Thanks Sally Eva - we left at 7 - took about 20mins to get to ND. Probably have to leave more time for a later bus journey - we were rather early this morning! Still confused about the trains - once an hour? Is the timetable online correct?
We need to get to North Dulwich tomorrow morning by 8am. Best way? Walk? What are the roads like that time of morning from Peckham Rye? Train timetable says no trains after 7,17 for an hour. Is that due to strike or misinformation in the timetable. Will get a cab if need be. Walk otherwise.
well, just buy what you want from somewhere that will sell you what you want in the quantities you want. Then everyone's happy and you won't need to complain publicly about not getting what you want when you want it from someone who doesn't want to sell you everything they have.
