  1. It clearly is worth it, or they wouldn't do it.
  2. Like that we're still measuring important things in inches
  3. Sometimes they go in pairs and knock on alternate doors so you won't necessarily hear the one leaving you knocking on your neighbours door. We had them too yesterday and the phone calls have started for donations - it must be a very difficult time for charities.
  4. We use Bought By Many. They have been brilliant, maybe look online and get a quote. You can decide if you want to insure or save. If the cat is going to be a house cat there's probably less risk
  5. Depends if you have the money to have your oven cleaned for you. If I did, I would. I bought the oven cleaner. I think the products are basically the same, so just pick one for your budget (and check reviews). You can get spray that you leave in the oven and you can get bags to put the oven shelves in 9leave overnight). All pretty easy really. This one is environmentally friendly https://www.amazon.co.uk/HG-oven-grill-barbecue-cleaner/dp/B000IU3VU8/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?adgrpid=104178742296&dchild=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4Lzxreim6wIVF-DtCh1_ZAT1EAAYAiAAEgLmsPD_BwE&hvadid=446615810628&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=1006886&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=10122903030421041398&hvtargid=kwd-315942341240&hydadcr=18481_1816600&keywords=eco+friendly+oven+cleaner&qid=1597824584&sr=8-1-spons&tag=googhydr-21&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyN1BJWVdQU0IzRDQmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA0MTk1ODAxMElRMlZWOFhXVExDJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAwNjM2MzExVkE3VjlJOUxKUVZYJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==#customerReviews
  6. I worked in Oxfam for a while (furniture in Streatham) and would easily be able to tell the difference between a trader and a person in need. Some people we wouldn't sell to readily and some people we'd pretty much give things away to. I also increased prices for items I knew were worth a lot more than they were asking for. Does it matter if people are traders on here? Should we compile a list and let Admin know? There are some who change their name every now and then so it looks like they are new (and call themselves a real name). I don't know if the people who are giving things away want them to go to someone who will sell them on or if they don't actually mind either way.
  7. not so sure about the pubs or marches being solely the blame - I was at the beach recently and it was 'carry on as usual'. It's general society, believing that this has blown over/ no relevant to them etc. The BLM marches are a big example of people ignoring social distancing. It's stupid to pretend they were not, even if you're trying to be politically correct and not racist. It's nothing to do with racism.
  8. I installed on in one of my flats - it worked. Depends how much you want to pay - just look at options online
  9. They don't like fresh air, so if the air in your house is still, they will stay.
  10. I gave something to someone who had posted on the wanted section. I received a message a few weeks later thanking me as it had made a big difference to them. I felt good being able to give and that was lovely to hear from them again. This forum is awesome. You can always say no to someone if they turn up and it's clear it's a trader.
  11. I imagine that is a factor.
  12. Yep, graffiti in Dulwich is done by polite, introverted white middle class. How fitting.
  13. Fishmonger in Peckham next to Morrisons might have some
  14. I wish,my man usually starts the BBQ then goes off to watch the football
  15. I use my own phone, works out fine. No one calls without booking time first. I don't want to carry two phones around and I don't want to be constantly available with apps (teams etc) on my mobile)
  16. I just saw a sign at the Blackbird Bakery... "wear a mask unless you're seated"...
  17. just call land registry and they will help you
  18. I don't mean paying a solicitor, I mean calling them and having a chat (some do initial free consultation) and seeing if you have a case. Definitely speak to your broker - especially if they've made reference to it already. Brokers are independent of insurance companies. You need to get more info....
  19. Hi Sue, I know it's not the same body, but the Legal Ombudsman have a guide for compensation and the level of inconvenience. It may be worth seeing if the FO do as well? I'll see if I can find the one I'm referring to and will same end you the link. Are there solicitors specialising in this you could call and get some advice? Or the Citizens Advice Bureau?
  20. BREAKING NEWS - News Over Sensationalises News. or is it Fake News?
  21. I found a pack of 10 for ?3.99 but outside London - i can get some if anyone wants the same, for cheaper
  22. hahah...my best friend does that; "bye darling, love you, speak soon, byee....byee....mwah!" for about five minutes :-)
