  1. Just watched Some of Nat?s cooking on You Tube. Thanks for that Exdulwicher, love it
  2. Vegetable curry is easy, Lidl sell veg at a good price and they are fresh. In fact anything vegetarian is cheap: soup,curry,chilli..... Have you tried making pasties or pies? We had veg rice (Lidl 49p) fried with onion, kale and gammon for lunch....that was really nice and took five minutes. We also buy a jar of miso paste and make ramen really quickly and easily, adding different things.
  3. We saw the bridge completely shut off but you could get to the woods over to Dulwich side by the gate at the bottom of cox?s path
  4. absolutely ludicrous schools opening. All pupils should be tested before they re allowed to return and teachers/ staff should all be vaccinated. London hospitals are at capacity already. lameduck - sorry to hear about your friend.
  5. I?m going to be making the chocolate Yule log I didn?t get round to doing on Christmas Eve. I will probably dance around the kitchen while doing so. As much as ever, Nee Year is a celebration so think about your blessings in this year while kicking it up the bum on it?s way out and making sure the door is properly shut.
  6. Thanks. Very helpful. Wondered that but still seems a high volume set aside for wastage....
  7. Anyone have a spare ten mins to look at a very basic sales budget please? My friend has an interview and we are looking at a set of numbers he has been sent. Current year forecast vs next year budget. It's all pretty basic and a lot of information missing but we dont' know if we're missing something obvious as the supply volume is way higher than the sales volume. i.e they are over ordering. It just seems too obvious to be a trick question. I've attached the file if anyone can look? I can't see any reason but as I don't know much about a publishing house, I may just not know something. Thanks Jules
  8. You can?t buy the freehold for one converted flat but you may be able to buy a share of the freehold of the whole property. You would be liable for a proportionate share of freeholder repairs and that is a whole new ball game
  9. There is that, but the suddenness of T4 in the run up to Christmas is especially tough
  10. It?s devastating. I can?t believe this government. There is not even certainty that this will have an impact on COVID to mitigate the damage and distress T4 will cause. No doubt schools will open in a couple of weeks and teachers who are not allowed to spend Christmas with their own families will be back at work putting themselves at risk. People need to stop buying from Amazon, wait til local shops are open again and just buy fists later. Amazon is such a dirty word in our house. We?ve bought locally and what we haven?t bought will wait. The government need to compensate the small business. Not only have they stocked up, they?ve also invested in making their shops COVID safe.
  11. Ham is already cooked. They might not want you to bring something that they need to cook, unless you cook it before you go.....
  12. Thank you for you kind support. It is indeed unpleasant and not necessary.
  13. My daughter just went in to see about the vacancies they have in their window. She was told they don't have vacancies and they are not hiring but they just put the sign up anyway, "because it's just a sign" Nice.
  14. Lots of reasons here https://briefingsforbritain.co.uk/ten-reasons-that-justify-the-uks-decision-to-leave-the-european-union/ Lots about remaining too I can search
  15. well, I did get through and had a good conversation. I'm getting a GP to call me today. Consultations can be booked online (if there are appointments available)
  16. I've been on the phone in a queue (with bad music) for half an hour. This is the second time I've tried. I walked up there earlier and wanted an appointment for my daughter. As there are none today, she said I should go home and book a Consult online. I don't know how to do this - the website said they should make a phone appointment when I get in contact with them. Presumably she should have booked it while I was there this morning. Any tips?
  17. Check the fuse in the plug
  18. Can?t you get it done on NHS? Tier 1 charges
  19. Tony Blair: There are apologies for when 1. you have unknowingly made mistakes which you would not do if you had hindsight/ better information/ awareness 2. you get caught.
  20. what exactly was suspicious enough to call the police and accuse him of theft online? So now we're all going to look out for this van and assume they're up to no good. Need a bit more info before I start on that....
  21. Please get a rescue. Ours came from Battersea. They help you find one to fit your family. We are insured with Bought by Many who are superb. Premiums depend on breed, age, cover etc so it won?t help you to know what we pay but it may help you to know they have paid all bills without fuss.
  22. Similar post on here a while back about a man in Dulwich Park watching kids in playground.
  23. More likely they roils write to you. I would try and call them tomorrow
