  1. Sainsbury DKG is far worse for above mentioned crimes
  2. I think it's a hate campaign so we can get a new Iceland instead
  3. I received this from the Charter North school this morning. Southwark Council and the London South Teaching School Alliance have joined forces to launch a borough-wide ?Laptops for Learning? crowdfund appeal. Money raised through the appeal will be used to buy laptops for Southwark schools, for the benefit of young people who need them in order to access online learning. Any donations made to the campaign will be match-funded by the council. Please help us to get the word out so children at The Charter School North Dulwich and those attending other Southwark schools can benefit. https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/laptopsforlearning The appeal is also accepting second-hand devices from businesses. If you know any business owners that may be able to help, please share the link. Please visit www.crowdfunder.co.uk/laptopsforlearning for more information.
  4. I am glad they are working together for a positive and sustainable future. Sadly, I think their motivations maybe driven by greed
  5. I got banned from Facebook ED Mums for upsetting the admin, something about disagreeing with her argument that clothes shops were essential and should remain open during lockdown. But Sue, nearly swearing, you surprise me .... Fallen Foul by Swearing
  6. Where would we like it put instead?
  7. Never had any problem or rudeness there and the staff are lovely. Quite a bitter post and surely not the right place to make a complaint. I would suggest you contact head office and they can look into it.
  8. there's a lockdown in place.....
  9. Agree with business/ mixed use. People need to make a living, so long as it?s not more nail shops, cafes, hairdressers or chicken shops
  10. If the 70plus are vaccinated then it would be sensible that they are the only ones allowed out. The deaths are not limited to age; the hospitals are filled with young to middle aged as well.
  11. Thanks for the link DF: we?re not at the baking stage yet, we have just been given our starter and am looking forward to it!
  12. We just have our first starter so would be interested to hear how you get on! Found this site you may be interested in https://www.bakingkneads.com/proofing-basket-substitute/
  13. I agree council tax spike is harsh but the funds need to come from somewhere. Savings from efficiencies; that?s definitely do-able. It would be more palatable to chase businesses that do not fair enough tax. Efficiencies in wider government / borough spending would also be welcome
  14. Happy Birthday Aaron, have a fantastic day
  15. That?s great news
  16. Like everybody else, we?ll be going to check out how COVID Safe they are.....
  17. Fab. I used to live in San Fran and LA and it?s a great drive and SF will be awesome for your teens
  18. It?s a chain and really not interested in local community for anything other than profit. Shame if we sold out our current nurseries to the mega nursery
  19. Kings took in 100 local people this weekend. They are now at breaking point.
  20. No, you have to trust the stall owners and customers. Herne Hill market was open today, with just a handful of stalls and people were observing rules. I don?t believer the same could be said for NCRoad (or we wouldn?t be having this conversation) so it had to be nothing.
  21. The people in hospital range from the young upwards in age
  22. My friend works at Kings and said all beds are full from our local area intake of COVID patients. It?s almost as if people can?t see it so pretend it?s not happening. All doctors from all specialties are called to help and other areas are left with skeleton staff. There are not enough resources for the COVID sites and patients will be shipped outside of London. It?s incredibly scary. A friend of mine was planning Christmas with her inlaws and within two weeks one of them had died and the other just released from hospital to an empty house. It sickens me that people are so ignorant (their choosing) and flippant about it (also their own choosing). Perhaps, for now, they don?t have anyone they personally know affected but this is no excuse to show such blatant disregard for other people.
  23. Huge sense of entitlement and lack of responsibility by both the traders and public. Shameful and stupid
  24. Given the hassle the new Charter school had about access and traffic, I?m surprised this has been given little attention
  25. Sold for nearly ?4m. Arguments against: Their unbelievable no car policy Saturated catchment area (already 44 nurseries) Building is a heritage centre donated for community use Accessibility issues for nearly 400 people (staff, kids, parents) each morning/afternoon Impact on other nurseries CPZ and closure of roads Etc Are there really that many local babies?
