  1. Getting there one year early - very impressive. rather like posting a derogatory review of a restaurant only to find you've called it by the name of another restaurant in the same street... citizen

  11. Thanks for the Pilger link CWALD: trust you you get into the serious stuff... If you like cutting political comment try: http://www.monbiot.com/ citizen
  12. Thanks for the link Huguenot, interesting reading. Not long after we moved into East Dulwich we had a newsletter through our door from East Dulwich police that showed the same sort of stats. It also showed that ED was generally under the borough and Met stats for most crimes. It seemed a good start: a local newsletter from our friendly cop shop. We never got another. Interesting that the East Dulwich ward as shown on the map does not equate to SE22 postcode. citizen
  13. *manages to smuggle hi-res digicam into Quiet Room* *starts snapping* *focuses on the bar - zooms in* *is that a bottle of Napoleon Brandy?* *think i'll just have a nip...*
  14. Lordship Lane Police Station?
  15. Damien Hirst?s latest solo show at the White Cube Gallery finished at the weekend. In just five weeks the gallery has taken ?125 million in sales. 70% of that goes to Hirst. That is without the diamond skull. They reckon that will fetch around ?50 million. George Michael is said to be interested. That's one hell of bit of expensive bling. http://http//blogs.guardian.co.uk/art/hirst460.jpg citizen

  21. They say women are good at multi-tasking but if said woman can do all the things mentioned in initial post at the same time - then pretty much fair play to her. I'm guessing that it will not set a trend and that in all probability it's a one-off for even that remarkable individual. citizen
  22. The recycling is not collected by green party activists or concerned local residents but by working class guys doing a days work for a days pay. As consciencious as i would like them to be, i guess the best thing is the council do have a recycling system even if the ettiqutte of their staff isn't up to much. Do your bit, put your box out, take your stuff (and your neighbours) to the tip if it aint collected. citizen
  23. In the book of cowbearuk The 11th commandment states - thou shall not breastfeed your child at 8:00am in full view of 7 school children waiting for their bus. Sin of sins. What is East dulwich comin to. citizen
  24. Thanks EDKiwi - tomorrow morning I am going don to Petichou in Peckham. I will drink a coffee and feel totally righteous. citizen
  25. Please let it be another Indian restaurant... citizen
