  1. We wondered who would be soon mating
  2. Girls and boys - Blur
  3. Hot Fuzz! You guys crack me up with your ironic posting - putting it on here when you obviously meant to post it on the over-rated thread.
  4. O Tinagwee, Tinagwee - moaning about k-i-d-s in Pubs is so, er, last week! see here ....though for what it is worth, even though I take my two little ones to the Plough from time to time I kinda agree it's nice to have those kid free moments in the pub.
  5. Harry Potter The Wizard of Oz The Sound of Music
  6. I thought-dropped on *Bob* when I spotted him skulking round the lane. "Minicab driver, Kebab shop owner, Trench digger...." it was a pretty ironic stream of consciousness. ;-) Citizen
  7. Anyone seen Moving Wallpaper, that new programme about the writing of the new "continuing drama" Echo Beach? Though it was reasonably sharp for a comedy drama. Reminded a touch of Drop the Dead Donkey. And its on ITV
  8. Admission! I've never been in the Sea Cow. However, that little detail has never stopped me enjoying the place. I love the fact I live in an area that has a fish and chip restaurant that looks so bloody good. Art on the walls, a fresh fish counter and a smart frontage. And now, we even get a proprietor who responds so positively to criticism. Hurrah.
  9. Message in a bottle - the Police
  10. No interpreter did he enlist.
  11. Surely, Jah and Atila - football nemeses/musical bedfellows
  12. Surely, Jah and Atila - football nemeses/musical bedfellows
  13. LostThePlot said "Oh, and planned my runs for this coming week." planned diarrhea - that's pretty anal. ;-)
  14. Mine wasn't "anyone who had a heart" by Cilla Black. I missed it by a couple of weeks but I really like that song. If you want to check yours out, try here
  15. Oh God CWALD you may have a point, I totally forgot about that little geezer who waking me up three times a night. Sheesh, the bags under my eyes have their own Guccis!
  16. *retires to QR with a migraine from becoming embroiled in all the serious sh!t that's flying around in the Lounge* *and in the Gossip* *I need a lie down* *.....or a stiff drink*
  17. Sad to see any cafe/restaurant close down. At least the Green was a place to grab a coffee if I was up by the Goose Green swings. Still, never much liked the place. It was confused about it's identity - was it a bar, a restaurant or a cafe. Seemed to get caught between stools.
  18. When Marmora Man spoke to his dentist
  19. Or your life will be soon on the skids
  20. No worries about my cash Keef, the good thing about having nippers is that you can never get your act together quickly enough to get round to what you planned to do during the day. Actually, come to think of it, I could never get my act together before I had them, either.:-$
  21. Anything weird happen to me? Yes - I've had a cough. Never get ill over the Christmas period but felt grotty on New Years Eve and was in bed by 8pm. Still got the cough now. Hope it's not just that I'm showing my age.

"I would think the current song game thread is probably the one with the most posts in a day." that thread has to be virtually unique in its amazing views-to-post ratio.
  23. Agree with so much of the above; but also, the accessibility of the place. From my place near the Plough I can walk in any direction and get somewhere lovely without having to go through anywhere nasty. Walk south to the Horniman Museum and Gardens, walk north to Lordship Lane, walk down the very lovely Barry Road to Peckham Rye and the great cafe there, walk down Etnella Road to Dulwich Park. Jump on any several buses to get into town, either the South Bank or the West End. Fantastic. ps Thanks AndyPandy for the thread.
  24. Mlteenie - sorry to hear about your crash - hope the hand is OK, though the facial scar you can wear like a badge of honour. I agree about the key being to assert yourself - I always think of it as being a CWA. Cyclist With Attitude.
  25. Heart of Glass - Blondie
