My first post: "Finches in Forest Hill have a room at the back for bike repairs - it's behind the station on Perry Vale. 25 - 29 Perry Vale, Forest Hill," No sign of a hello nor nothing. Where on earth were my manners! Citizen
Had an indifferent start to my LoveFilm subscription. Hot Fuzz was poor - the History Boys, unexceptional. Best was Little Miss Sunshine. off-beat US movie - a kind of quirky road movie full of interesting characters.
I loved the Britney bit too. Made me want to buy the album. Thought the Obs might be too mainstream for you Mockers (I mean Paul MaCartney!) but i'll have to look out for that Panda Boy. Sounds good.
Good call on the bus queues - it always piques me when someone blatently, rather than simply ignorantly, pushes in front of others at the stop. However - if you want to renew your faith in human goodness and order, then go to Waterloo and look at the queues at the bus stops by the Imax roundabout: a heaving London station and everybody queues! Wow
"The FA Cup is the oldest and most famous cup competition in the world. It has great history. The final is watched by a massive worldwide auience and yes there is still magic and glory in the old FA Cup." I agree Jah. Shame that it's only ever won by one of the Big Four: FA cup winners since 1996: 1995 ******* 1996 Manchester United 1997 Chelsea 1998 Arsenal 1999 Manchester United 2000 Chelsea 2001 Liverpool 2002 Arsenal 2003 Arsenal 2004 Manchester United 2005 Arsenal 2006 Liverpool 2007 Chelsea In 1995 the winners were not from the big four. Who was it?
But lets face it, the weatherspoons rule is there so that a manager has an excuse to kick out an unruly tribe of drinkers who happen to have kids with them. No manager would eject a group of punters with children who are behaving themselves, however much they are drinking. I think it sounds pretty commomn sense.
sean, there is a thread about the place here GOURMET BURGERS. Have a scan and you'll see who is not impressed. I've always enjoyed myself when I've been there. Some people on here are exraordinarily fussy when it comes to eating out. perhaps the company they keep is so uninspiring that they have to concentrate on the food ;-)
Good news, was waiting for this to come up since Mrs Citizen would like to come along. I'll do the honourable thing and sneak out for a quick pint when the kids are tucked up in bed...(edit) stay home all evening to babysit the sproglets. citizen
Jah, my earlier comment was simply a reference to the fact that I like Spurs. I hate the fact that as an Arsenal fan I'm suppoosed to hate them. I don't, never did and certainlly never will. I grew up on Liam Brady and Glen Hoddle, the two saints of North London. Love any team with high footballing credentials like the Spuds. So spuds-I-like.
"...a nursery club for the big two." Er, like who would that be then? Arsenal and.... Berbatov will go. don't worry about him so much, Spuds-u-like. Be more concerned about the defence. citizen
