  1. So 16 yr old wants to go to his first festival this summer- tickets seems very expensive- are there any specific things we should think about before saying yes- other than the usual ? I seem to remember there were some dodgy tickets one year?
  2. you cannot have a crush on a man who is so up his own xrse as to write those letters about underwear to m and s
  3. If you go in the summer you really ought to try and go to the open air opera house in Verona. The atmosphere is amazing. Its not cheap but it is So ITALIAN. God love them all.
  4. Maybe its so they can watch children enjoy them selves on the swings.
  5. Sermione is at the botton of lake garda and has fast trains to Verona and venice. It is very pretty- but might be a bit pricey. You can get boat trips around the lake.
  6. Theres always a burka..................
  7. good paint is not cheap. sounds ok to me
  8. It is relatively busy and noisy in rush hours. The houses at the HErne Hill end are pretty big. I think the prices reflect they are on a busier rd than say Burbage rd, but in my opinion it is a safer rd. The 37 goes past and it is safer walking back on this road than the surrounding quieter rds. You can check the police web sites for statistics. I dont think houses sell very often because they are big family houses and people live there for a long time.
  9. what did he say the survey was about?
  10. I think we should run a sweep stake on this. I suspect a package from Boris.
  11. I think you need to clear this early on. In all the years of having babysitters we have always checked how they are getting home- one of us has driven them home if necessary. I would not feel happy if you are young or an aupair and were walking home by yourself that late at night. My son now babysits and has a bike.
  12. you can buy normal red food colouring in sainsburys D K Hill. Its pretty strong stuff.
  13. Ive just looked in neigbours garden and japanese anenomes are not flowering- so I think red devil is right too.
  14. if you need an incentive read the threads on prolapse.should scare anyone into action.

  16. I went to a baby free wedding when mine was 7 weeks- I left expressed milk with mother in law- 45 mins from the wedding- we popped back between the day and evening do - I fed/ expressed- then went back to the wedding- it was BRILLIANT.Can you do something similar?
  17. Uncle Vanya at the Print Room was fab. Great set- you sit in the room. Iain Glen on top form.
  18. Best weather I can remember for the Herne Hill velodrome races today.
  19. Wow LYMan- such restraint- if I had ben around it wouild have been the kit kat that went- must have been great sarnies- definitely stolen by a man - I would say.
  20. I thought the same, when I stopped wsorking in September I managed to get almost everything filed away- no piles on every surface- it took 2 weeks. All going well till Christmas- and I can report piles of papers on ALMOST every surface. I did make a lot of space by going back and editing all the childrens school books- where I had kept every exercise book they brought back- from nursery onwards- I edited it down to English and Art only. This cleared 3 bags of stuff. Then massive filing into those wallet files/ box files- but really only once a term-one tip get e mails instead of paper for newsletters etc - papaerless bills etc.
  21. Ms B. HUGE RESPECT ( you do know you can indulge on Sundays in Lent...)
  22. Dover is good too- especially if you get there on a "re-enactment day!
  23. The Latchmere in Wandsworth is good too. The Glades attracts older children with the slide- it can be a little overwhelming.
  24. "It was also revealed Daniel had been watching violent horror films since he was eight and had viewed the film Saw hours before killing his mother." Why? at 8? thats child abuse.
