  1. The photo of your car looks like it is not at that corner but the one opposite, making an illegal left turn from Peckham Rye South bound into East Dulwich road, because there is grass instead of a building and 2 black uprights close to eachother on the pavement.
  2. The no 37 bus turns left there too.
  3. B&G - hee hee! Maybe in a few years 😅 Only an hour to go now, good luck.
  4. Hello neighbour! Shall we swap? I have 2 overexcited, likely to be very grumpy tomorrow primary school children...
  5. "verds:Does anyone know what time the curfew is? I really want to take my kids to see Kelis, but wondering if it's too late for them." How lovely that you have the choice (I don't mean that in a horrible way). I will be trying to get 2 kids to sleep approximately 50 yards from the stage! We were away last year so not sure how horrendous it's going to be. I have mixed feelings about this. I find it scary that it may be the thin end of a wedge gradually taking away access to public space. On the other hand at the moment it is a small proportion of the park, it's done neatly and, I hope, the rental money for the space will help Southwark council to continue providing services.

I'm sure I've seen turtles there every year for a long time. Will ask children to remind me when they get home.
  7. Wow, thanks for the info! Will enjoy seeing this after 20 yrs living in London!
  8. We had a delivery yesterday, which was Sunday!?!
  9. No water near piermont green.
  10. You can put loaf of bread bags in with the plastic bag recycling too!
  11. Some places in the area are part of the public toilets scheme (not sure what it's called) including the library. I don't know if the loo in the reception of the leisure centre is part of the scheme but it's certainly available to just walk into and nobody has ever questioned me on doing so.
  12. http://www.ivydale.southwark.sch.uk/childrens-centre/ On this page Ivydale Children's centre (which runs the Peckham rye playroom) says they hope to move into the new building (which is up next to the adventure playground) in September and to check this page for updates.
  13. hello trees! I couldn't help a big grin and going to feel the bark when I saw the avenue of limes 'unfenced' for the first time today. This is at the Peckham Rye park entrance opposite Harris Boys.
  14. Where's the walled garden? Used to go daily with children but less now so I can't remember that part.
  15. Could anyone tell me where to find the last distance offered information please?
  16. I noticed one too, corner of Oakhurst Grove.
  17. St John's and St Clement's May Fair is coming up soon on Saturday 12th May 11 - 2!
  18. I think Piermont Green is a private road and so it would be paid for by residents/owners? For a long time there was a small sign on the lamppost saying private road no parking. The sides of the road get very degraded between the tri (ish) yearly surfacing that they do and keeping them as decent as possible is beneficial to the main road (Peckham rye) which quickly starts to be worn away when excess water is running down Piermont Green.
  19. I thought the new building was changing rooms for the football clubs which use the park and a long awaited new 1o'clock club playroom?

Today I noticed that the footpath through there has had the signage removed too. The blue cycle path signposts are gone and the picture of a bike on the hazard triangle has been erased. There are gates waiting to be closed at each end also (were they there before?). Does anyone know if it is actually a right of way?
  21. We used https://bennettwelch.com in Crystal Palace a few years ago and found them very straight forward and helpful.
  22. 6pm tonight at At John's on Goose Green.
  23. That's an extremely small area for 8000 people. In the summer when it's full of sunbathers and those having a party with their own gazebo there will be maybe 150 max on a really busy day.
  24. The pavement is just the narrow strip by the road. The large areas in front of the shops are part of the property of each building.
