  1. Oh - and my wife's sister and her hubby are visiting at the weekend - I have said I will be watching TV all afternoon Saturday and Sunday as the Open is the highlight of my sports viewing year and I won't be available for doing stupid things like sitting in the park - Is this selfish? [women with no interest in sport need not reply, as you are biased]
  2. Reckon this will be a great tournament - lots of home (GB&I) guys in form at the moment. Great challenge for McIlroy to see how he does and he says he is hitting some form. Woods obvious favourite. Any thoughts anyone? [Poorly concealed attempt to discuss the golf outside of the Betting thread]
  3. My friend TLS - sensitive - you are having a laugh - he's tough and will be back, no doubt about that. I find him good fun too and he wears his heart on his sleeve, which few are brave enough to do.
  4. even i have heard of him. But did not know what he did. Good that he is local. I agree ed does not have many suits. I have to wear one but im glad most people here do not have to otherwise ed would prob not have the the character it has. So i agree with rob da banker.
  5. thats a funny name. How we laugh every time we hear it.
  6. Of course not - Westwood was best placed, but most of my choices did ok. Cabrera finished 7 in 2006 Open and 4th in 1999, so he has no probs with links golf.

  8. John Hartson - it does not look good for JH, he is having surgery and cancer is in his lungs and brain. Hope he can pull through somehow.
  9. Some horses have gotten me excited over the years BBW. Can't say that's not true.
  10. I know, but I can't back everyone, just almost everyone.
  11. You'd need to check his Open record - Don't recall him challenging before though. But all major winners have to be respected and he played ok last week. Its really best to wait till halfway though to be honest to see who gets off to a reasonable start. You still get good odds on the chasing pack at halfway stage.
  12. He's already said the course is harder than he expected, so you might have the right tactics there Quids.
  13. I have lots: ?50 total spread across: Clarke, McGrane, Hamilton, Westwood, McIlroy, Zach Johnson, Villegas and Kaymar - mostly long shots - its a scatter gun approach to having someone in the running come the weekend. Any sucess I have ever had in golf betting has been betting at the half way stage, so I'll look again then at shorter odds chances. Woods is deserved favourite but odds too short for his post operation form. Goosen a good bet but has not been the same player he was some years ago, but last weekend offered some hope.

  19. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > oh well, there goes my winning streak What happened Quids - was it the cricket? Any bets on the Open yet? I have done 3 very long shots, McGrane, Clarke and Hamilton. If any of those 3 win I'll rebook my summer hols. Proper bets still to be done.

Yep Anna - its all cool in da house. (and Ali G is on tv)
  24. leather sofas are like any other sofa it depends on the design and the quality of the leather. Yes we have them and like them and get lots of compliments so hope they are not uncool.
  25. That's not good Daizie and you should make sure the police are going to indentify the school and take it up with them, and they should then confirm to you they have done that.
