I'm for a MU victory tonight - a win on the night. Arsenal are showing commendable form but I always feel United have what it takes on the big nights. I think the premiership is pretty much won now so it will be all guns blazing tonight. I'm going for Arsenal 1-2 MU (agg 1-3).

I stood beside Tiger Woods at Heathrow airport in 1995 when he was an amateur and had just finished playing in the Open in St Andrews earlier that day and must have flown down from Scotland to Heathrow on route home - he appeared to be on his own, collecting his own baggage and clubs from the baggage belt. 2 years later as a professional he won the Masters and is now probably one of the most famous faces on the planet. Not many people recognised him - only one person asked him for an autograph.

i have been away for the weekend so have not been keeping up. is this more dangerous than normal flu or is its ability to spread that concerns everyone? I have children at goodrich so potentially it will progress to there soon so perhaps someone who knows what they are talking about could let me know. Thanks.

apparently the market leader in building london buses is a northern irish company and it builds them and sends them over to london in flat packs. Hope they put them together correctly. Not sure if they supply the number 40 but may well do.

Do beer goggles work when you look in the mirror? - When sober I look in the mirror and generally think I look a bit rough. When I have had a few beers though I look in the mirror and think "hey - you look good tonight boy". I did say it was a bit enbarrassing. :-$

What a nice comment - well said - too many people slag off young families in ED but even the younger people will most likely be parents some time, so its nice to hear someone who does not yet have children saying something positive. And I agree most people in ED with young children do seem happy, and most importantly the children seem happy. (not like when I was young, we were all miserable).

Lenk - my point is that if someone is so obviously critical of ED I wonder why they feel they want to live here. This is one a number of threads that "thebeard" has started criticising ED pubs. His points seem to be unsubstantiated and I'm not convined his posts are intended to do anything other than stir things up.

Why does not "thebeard" look elsewhere for somewhere to live if its so bad. Probably does not even live in ED.

Have just tried to buy it on Ebay for ?2M but my paypal account would not let me pay. I have rescinded the transaction now because although I thought the price was ok, I felt the postage was a bit steep.

I have been once and my seat was at the very back at the very top - what are the chances of that. I thought Prince was small before I went and when I sat down I realised how small he really was.

World Health Organisation has raised its pandemic threat level to the maximum 5 - the next level 6 is when they acknowledge we have a pandemic. Apparently we are fortunate that we are entering summer and it may die out in summer but it could then resurrect itself in winter. We are however better prepared than we have ever been, so lets hope it does not materialise. I have not taken this seriously before today.

I think the eventual winner will come from the Barca Chelsea match based on what we have seen so far. No offence to Arsenal but I can't see them getting past MU and I think MU will not win the final as they are running a bit low on gas after a long season. But I'd like to see a Barca MU final.

Sanity girl - I thought an Americano was an expresson diluted with water? But I take the point on filter coffee, it often sits around for a while. I drink far too much coffee, but it does not keep me awake at all, probably because I do not go to bed until I'm really tired (or when there is noone left posting on the forum)

Even more annoying - I had ?144 on my betfair account and bet ?44 on barca in running - the bet was not matched so I (thought I cancelled it) and did it again and it seems I did 2 x ?44 bets. Thats the second time I have doubled up by mistake on betfair and lost, a bit annoying. Thats the trouble with trying to watch football, have a beer, bet, write on the forum and try to buy a patio power washer online, all at the same time.

TLS - I have just backed Barca to win @ 2.35 with 30 mins to go. General - I quite like Chelsea under Hiddink - definately good to watch but I'd like to have an international flavour to the final - 2 English teams in the final is not what the Champions League is about. Although it does reflect English superiority, I don't think its a good spectacle for the neutral. Eto has just made an excellent save to foil Eto - good game now with barca building the pressure - if Anelka comes on though, I would be concerned about him, he is excellent on the break.

I'm sure they will be queing up to do so Lizzy - I'm away for this one, catch you at the next one though.
